You want better pay and working conditions, right? Right. Minimum wagelaws are not enough, though. Neither is relying on government or politicians toimprove your workplace experience for you. s we have seen, even when thereare laws on the books to benefit workers or to protect their rights, they are oftenignored. !t took a mass movement of workers like you to even call the state"sviolation of its own law #saying that the state minimum wage must be a living wage$ to their attention. Yet, the law was still ignored, or, at best, misconstrued.%f course, &'.()*hr. !s more like a slow+death wage than a living wage.

owever, your action in bringing the law to their attention shows where thestrength of working people lies - in our solidarity with our fellow workers andacting together. he solidarity fist symboli/es this, since one finger by itself haslittle strength, but, if the fingers are brought together into a fist, then they havestrength, 0ust like one worker has little strength on their own, but workers canhave great strength when they work together for their own interests. You"ve had ataste of that, and you have acted courageously, together with your fellow workers, from one+day walkouts to bringing complaints to the government.
