I would like to thank my Wylie church for continuing to send me the newsletter, “The Witness”. It is something I look forward to receiving and reading as it helps me stay in touch with my church family and friends. I also want to thank The 39ers class for their cards and encouraging notes. I miss my Sunday School class and church but I am grateful to be in Montana near my nephew and his wife. God’s blessings to each of you as you continue to serve others. Sincerely, Mrs. Frances Carr (member since 12/08/1946)

Monthly Mission Focus Page 9
Our goal at Wylie United is "Everyone Connected, Everyone Serving." With this in mind, there is a new ongoing mission effort in which EVERYONE CAN SERVE. There are many needs and outreach opportunities in our own community and you can help! The October collection is for The Amazing Grace Food Pantry. Let’s show our support of local missions by placing boxes of stuffing in the blue buckets near our front doors. At the end of the month (or as needed by volume given) these boxes will be deliv-ered to the Amazing Grace Food Pantry.
This is a chance to help our neighbors , show our support for local missions and grow as servants. Lets be the hands and feet of Christ...

Junior and Senior High Sunday School begins at 10:15 am. Most Youth then attend the Contemporary service at 11:15 and sit together. There is also a 9:00 am Tradition-al Service.
All Youth (grades 7th through 12th) come together from 6:00 – 8:00 pm for food and fellowship. We have a snack supper starting at 6:00 pm, followed by worship led by PBJ (our youth praise band), games and a message. The LAST Sunday of every month, we will have Youth Night Out (see page 6). Times may change but will be posted in advance, as well as the need for drivers and chaper-ones. There are fees associated with outings and will vary.
This is a time for small groups and diving deeper into our faith. Times are 6:00-7:00 pm. PBJ has practice following small groups from 7:00-8:30 pm.
We use ‘ ’ to send out text messages about Youth events, meetings, changes... You can also and just add your group as a "class" to your account.
See announcements and all the great pictures from our Facebook page, Wylie United Methodist Church Youth Ministry.
We need volunteers for our Sunday Snack Suppers! We asked that the parents of each child volunteer once per semester. Go to the Youth web page at and click on Snack Supper.
