Asset Protection System

1. BISG SQUIRREL GUARDS Rigid polymeric disc which sits betweenthe sheds of post insulators and equipment bushings to prevent animals such as squirrels from bridging the phase to ground clearance.

2. WRAP AROUND CREEPAGE EXTENDERS Made from a pre-formedshape that allows the product to be clipped into place. There is no needto disconnect for this cold apply installation.

3. OLIC is a clip on insulating channel that provides flashover protection for overhead lines. OLIC-O sections clip over the conductorand are held in place with UV stabilised plastic tie wraps.

Wedge System

4. AMPACT MINI WEDGE The AMPACT aluminium wedge and 'C member' connector system is the leader in the field for low resistance,stable and reproducible connections on stranded or solid copper/aluminium conductor. AMPACT fired-wedge copper and aluminium connectors are extensively used in bare wire overhead networks at all voltages.

5. AMPACT TOOLING AMP miniwedge and UDC connectors incorporate wedge pressure technology to provide an easily-appliedsecondary connection system for aluminium to aluminium, aluminiumto copper and copper to copper. Connectors are quickly and simplyinstalled using parallel-jaw pliers for connector range up to 120 mm2.

6. BI-METALLIC OR COPPER BRANCH CONNECTORS Provide a connection system between a copper conductor to an intermediatepoint on a copper or aluminium conductor.

7. DOUBLE BARREL CONNECTORS Provide mechanical and electricalconnection of one end of a copper conductor to an intermediate pointon a contact wire.

8. SPADE CONNECTORS Copper or aluminium crimped lug for connection between aluminium or copper cable to an apparatus.

9. TEE CONNECTORS Copper or aluminium connection between copper or aluminium cable to copper or aluminium bar.

Insulator System

10. HIGH CANTILEVER STRENGTH INSULATORS Non ceramic insulators designed for high cantilever railway applications wheredeflection and long term cantilever loading are design criteria.

11. NON-CERAMIC INSULATORS Non-ceramic insulators designed forcatenary registering arms. Polymeric material has proven excellent performance in high pollution applications and offer high impact resistance where breakage or vandalism are issues.

12. HYBRID INSULATORS Catenary strut and tension applicationsusing both porcelain and polymeric technology. Ideal product whereporcelain is required but higher flashover performance in polluted conditions or vandal resistance is required. This generic design caneasily be customised for specialised applications in substations andcatenary systems.

13. PORCELAIN INSULATORS Porcelain strut and tension insulatorsfor catenary applications. Wide range of bushing and substation insulators applications are also available.

Locomotive System

14. NON-CERAMIC PANTOGRAPH OR BUSBAR INSULATORSLow-weight, low maintenance polymeric insulators for customisedapplications. The tough polymeric housing and robust constructionoffer improved pollution performance and high reliability.

15. AC AND DC POLYMERIC SURGE ARRESTERS Suitable for use insubstation and on rolling stock. Specially designed BDA and DCA types,have a rugged compact design capable of withstanding extreme mechanicalstress by way of vibration, shock, pressure and torsion. Surge arresters fortransformer or substation applications are also available.

16. CABLE ASSEMBLIES FOR ROOFLINES AND DOWNLEADS Customdesigned cable assemblies employ compact, self-supporting polymericterminations, bushings or screened T-connectors for rolling stockpower distribution applications. Fully tested for overvoltage and partialdischarge. Flexible, insulated inter-car jumper leads also available.

Power Feed System

17. CABLE JOINTS Suitable for all common polymeric cables. Cross-bonding shield break and external grounding arrangements are easilyaccommodated. Link boxes can be easily attached adopting the network design requirement. Short installation time reduces outageswhile extensive field experience and rigorous testing have proven thereliability of the technology used.

18. 52 kV and 72kV TERMINATIONS Heatshrink technology offers thereliability of 30 years field performance with polymeric terminations.

Catenary Dropper System

19-20. CATENARY CONNECTION DROPPERS The catenary connectiondropper is designed for ease of applications and excellent reliabilitybetween the carrier and the contact wires where it provides mechanicalas well as electrical binding.
