VISION 2023 Targets

Reaching totally 25.000 km railway network in 2023, by building 13.000 km railways which include 3.500 km high speed railway, 8.500 km rapid railway and 1.000 km conventional railway.

Performing the works for complying the existing vehicles with high speed train lines and manufacturing all types of rolling stock in Turkey.

Increasing the share of railway transport by 10% in passenger and by 15% in freight transport.

Ensuring the connection through branch lines with logistics centers, factories, industries, organized industrial zones and ports which have great freight potential.

LIBERALIZATION OF TURKISH RAILWAYS

Restructuring of Turkish State Railways (TCDD): «Law on the Liberalization of Railway Transport of Turkey»

No.6461 adopted in 2013

TCDD continues as Infrastructure Manager and the units of TCDD responsible for the operations of trains are separated, as an affiliate of TCDD named «TCDD Transport JSC.».
