“From 3 days to few hours”
I have attended Kent Lau’s Excel Intermediate training in June
2015.
At the end of the training, not only have I learnt the new Excel
knowledge, but he has also solved one of our tedious operation
processes – counting number of items done by each employee
that used to take us 3 days.
He is able to deliver an Excel based solution right after
listening to our problem. He is able to reduce the analysing
process to few hours. From 3 days to few hours, this is
excellent.
Furthermore, with his new Excel complex formula, we have
identified errors that cause by analysing manually. As we
based on this analysed report to pay our workers, this can
translate to monetary saving.
Kent Lau is indeed helpful, knowledgeable about Excel, and
able to answer most of our questions.
We are in the process of engaging him as consultant for further
work.

“He has been very committed throughout the
3 months.” “Due to his extensive experience in Microsoft Excel Macro programming, I
approached Mr. Kent Lau to assist us with developing a complex automated
database using the Microsoft Excel Macro software.
I am pleased to say that I am very happy with the services Mr. Lau provided on
this project as he very easily understood my needs, he just seemed to “get it”
with very little explanation.
Also he has been very committed throughout the 3 months this project has
taken to complete, as well as forthcoming with ideas and suggestions.
Mr. Lau was also very prompt and accommodating with any requests I made.
As a result he has helped to deliver a database which functions exactly as
required; it is user friendly and includes some extra functions to allow the user
to make administration changes to the database to ensure the database is kept
current and up to date”.
I would most definitely would work with Mr. Lau on future projects, and
certainly recommend his Microsoft Excel Macro programming services to other
companies.

RAHSIA #2: TAKE ACTION
“Keep away from people who try to belittle your
ambitions. Small people always do that, but the
really great make you feel that you, too, can become
great.”
– Mark Twain
How did I start?
Hi, my name is Kent Lau Chee Yong. You may ask what
made me want to be a writer and how I get to this point?
Here’s a clue:
24
Many of my friends would discourage me, telling me that it
would be impossible to write a book and I quote “it is
impossible to write a book”, but is just not me.
One of my mentor, Blair Singer, might be the cause of me
wanting to spread the teaching. So I put those theories to
the test to see whether it would be of any use for anybody.
After much testing and researching, the first book was
born.
Everybody has something to give, something to offer,
even if it’s already been offered before.
You have a different way of looking at it.
Your idea may appeal to millions of people you’ve
never met before who think the way you think.

Take Note
Or
Take Action?
“A lot of people love to attend seminars, workshops
and all kinds of courses. They take a lot of notes but
not action. If you don’t take any action, all these
training and courses will be a total waste of time and
effort.”
KC SEE

RAHSIA #3: BANTU ORANG DIDAHULUKAN
“Action is the foundational key to all success.”
Pablo Picasso
I discovered the law of success after I got retrenched from
my company.
“Raise your hand if you want to be successful in life?”
I mean it. Literally. Put down your book and raise your
hand in the air.
Excellent and give yourself a pat on the back for raising
your hand. Welcome to the first step of your journey to
success.
The secret, being successful means to willingly receive the
help from others. That is why all the successful people that
I know are always willing to help those who ask for their
assistance.
28
There is a backdoor to getting any kind of assistance.
Would you like to know what they are?
Again, raise your hand if you want to know.
The secret of getting help from others lies with yourself.
Only you can break the wall between you and them. First
be thankful to yourself then widen your scope of gratitude
to the others around you like your spouse, your loved
ones, your parents, your siblings. As you learn all that, you
will begin to extend your reach to your colleagues, your
higher ups, your chauffeur, your neighbours, your school
teachers, your mentors. The list can go on.
Why would you want to help others you might ask?
You might feel the sincere gratitude when that someone
you helped thanked you for helping them. Deep inside,
you will feel appreciated. Being appreciated feels good
and not many people have the opportunity to experience
it. So be thankful. That will lead you to a more successful
and contented life.
29
I have to thank God for being so gracious towards me.
Without him, I won’t have the time or opportunity to even
start writing a book. Not only did he bestow me the idea,
he also gave me the courage, time, and support to
complete this book. He challenged me in different
scenarios so I could have the life lesson and experience to
share with everyone today. Through the hard times I come
across, my path leads me to becoming a successful
corporate trainer. And I am the living proof of what
success is about.
I am grateful to be born brilliant. The father moulded me
remarkably well I must say but nobody is perfect.
Everyone have the ability to craft their own lives to their
own desire. The difference is whether they want to or not. I
am here to guide. To make your desires, wishes, fantasies
become a possibilty as I have already made mine into
reality.
To be a successful and competent corporate trainer, you
will have to start with a positive mindset (a successful
state of mind).
30
Before discovering this secret
I had a really tough life before I came about this secret.
It was hard to enjoy much less love my job as a
programmer.
I could not acknowledge the clients who would put their
trust in me.
I own a lot of material things in life but I was still not
satisfied with it.
I have no aim in life.
I feel powerless in my daily life.
I couldn’t find a girlfriend because all I could think of is
how I could acquire one and not how or what I can give in
return. Ok. I might be exaggerating a little when I say I
couldn’t find a girlfriend. I did have girlfriends before but I
never really appreciate or care deeply for them.
Who would have thought that I was facing all these
problems because I didn’t think positively? Lacking this
one mind set could just blow my life to pieces.
I was not ecstatic when I received my salary. I worked for
it so I deserved the money anyway, I thought. I did not
think to thank the company, or the HR department. There
31
was no reason for me to thank them. All I cared was the
money.
My first job as a programmer was to assist in designing
the e-government project. That was in the year 2000.
Even as my first job, it didn’t excite me at all. Only the
amount printed on the payslip interest me. I have the
don’t-care attitude the entire time.
I hate OT (overtime). Imagine doing extra work for no
extra pay during the night when everyone goes back home
to relax but you. Of course I would be reluctant to agree.
This was the kind of life I had lived without this mindset
that would push me to towards fulfilling greatness.
So, what is this mindset that changed my life totally, You
might wonder. I was brought to a whole new world. A
world that I didn’t think was even possible for someone
like me but it did.
I begin researching this mindset theories after I got
retrenched. Retrenchment hit me really hard.
I start to examine my life in and out, day after day, during
my retrenched period. I couldn’t fathom why I was
retrenched or why I was unhappy with a paying job in the
first place. I couldn’t understand it. One of my friend
showed me a video. I watched it over and over
32
consecutively. Then it hit me. I finally figured it out. I finally
understood why I was the way I was in the past.
So what’s wrong with me? It is my mindset. I do not have
a thankful mindset.
There is a Chinese saying that goes like this “助人为快乐
之本” which means helping others is the source of
happiness.
This is very true. I began to dig deeper into my research
on this topic. Through the sources that I acquired from the
video “the Secret”, church’s teachings, and seminars that I
have attended had convinced me that it is because I lack
this mindset, my life was a mess. Thank God, it was not
too late for me to change.
33
Can I master this mind set in just minutes or even
seconds?
The answer is ‘no’. For me, I had to continue re-watching
“the Secret”, read more self-help books, and listen to
people with established success principles in order to
change my frame of mind. Keeping logs on your small
successes can work wonders in keeping you moving. So it
was a successive change rather than an immediate
change. I don’t think anyone could simply change an
entire perspective overnight. Successiveness led me to
success!
At night, I read books like “the Magic” and would practice
the given steps. I would hold a stone and think of the
greatest thing that had happened to me that day. Having a
daily recap of the good things that transpired on any given
day helped me a lot in gaining a thankful heart.
Are you in the same situation I was? Unhappy and full of
complaints about everyone and everything? Always
blaming others and feeling as though everything you do
has no meaning? Let me tell you, I was just like you. I felt
so helpless and lonely. I even read self-help books with
titles like ‘How to make friends’, but I wasn’t motivated or
convinced enough to practice what those books
suggested. Perhaps I needed that one turning-point in my
life to shake me up.
34
While the retrenchment hit me badly, it took a while for it to
make its full impact on me.
It forced me to think and re-examine my life.
It forced me to think about the hard questions like, “What
am I going to do with the rest of my life?”
My first answers were colourless. Get my pay check, go
for a movie or many movies, find a girlfriend, buy shoes,
play computer games, pay bills, repay debts, buy another
car…
Is this what life is? Is that all life has to offer?
I want to share this with all of you here despite it being a
risk, because I want you all to know that if you’re in the
same situation feeling the emotions, you are not alone.
And the good news is that just as I have eventually
changed, so can you.
35
I am no better than you
Or anyone for that matter. I only mastered this one mind-
set through months of training and persistence, and I am
certain that you can do even better than I did. Now, I am
thankful for everything I that I have and I want to give back
to the world. Having a grateful heart has helped me garner
a lot of support, and I began to experience the world
differently.
Looking back from now to when I had my old mind-set, so
much has changed and I now have positive feelings for
positive things.
Here’s how I think now:
• I was excited to be chosen in the implementation
of a new e-government project called Payment
Gateway. I was happy to be able to utilise the
new knowledge I had for Java programming.
• I was excited to land a sales deal. In fact, it was
a great sales deal, and I was chosen other my
competitors!
• I got married. Finally. Not because I was getting
older but as things go, it was the right time and I
finally found The One. My grateful heart
recognised the celebration and allowed me to
36
fully experience it. Imagine how silly I was in
believing that I would never find her and be
happy!
• I was no better than the other corporate trainers
out there, but was still a frequent choice for
companies looking to update their staff on their
IT skills. Perhaps they felt my sincerity and liked
it.
And now, I have the opportunity to share my experiences
and work with you all. And I am most blessed that you
have chosen to read it.
See, the key to greater success in life is not to just have
better Excel skills, better presentation skills, a better
lifestyle, better car, better house, better mobile phone,
better pay, better friends, etc. etc.
The key to success is to be thankful whenever you receive
something because it plants the seeds for your greater
success. I believe that my greatest success comes from
always being thankful for the positive events of today and
of what the Universe is to bring in the future.
In the chapter Law of attraction, I’ll explain what I mean by
“what the Universe is to bring in the future”.
37
How to be successful in life?
You need people to help you.
You need lots of people to help you.
All millionaires know this well. All great rulers know this
secret very well.
The question is, why should I help you to become a
millionaire or a great ruler?
Why should you be helped?
Let me explain myself. I willingly attended T. Harv Eker’s
course for a couple of thousand. Why? Partly because I
can sense that he genuinely wants to help me. I believed
that he could help me and he did. He is sincere and
grateful towards everyone. You would know what I mean if
you met him.
Why should God bless those business tycoons?
38
Write down your answer here.

………………………………………………………………..
………………………………………………………………..
39
Being a corporate trainer means working for the
companies owned by some of those business tycoons. If
you don’t have a good impression of them, it would be
very difficult to get hired.
If you can’t be thankful towards the government, you won’t
secure government jobs either. I received training
assignments from government agencies because I let
them know that I appreciate them having set in place a
good system for us. Reading less newspapers helps
enhance what little time we have in our short life span. We
merely occupy a space in this world for about 80 years or
more. We don’t have much time to blame or complain.
Whenever we thank the government, we help create a
good energy that can impact many people in a positive
way.
Why should I help you?
Why should you help me?
Is it because I forced you to buy my book or my products?
You know, you can’t force someone to buy something
unless they somehow already want to buy it.
Was it my sincere gratitude that got you to pick up this
book?
40
YOUR TASK TODAY OR THIS WEEK
Find a person to help
Make a record of how you helped them and why you
helped them.
How did you feel after helping them?
Here’s an example:
Help the janitors that work hard to maintain daily
cleanliness for us.
How, you might ask? A simple thank you, a smile, and/or a
small token will suffice in letting them know you appreciate
them working hard at their jobs. In my experience, it is not
common for them to receive even a simple ‘thank you’ or a
smile. The rarest of all would be receiving a small gift.
Even though they are already getting paid to do this job, it
is a mentally and physically difficult job that pays them
very little. Not many people would take this job by choice.
Why do I suggest doing this? Because to the furthest of
my capabilities, I made it my personal mission to help as
many people as possible have a better life.
41
The feeling I get from doing this is wonderful. I feel great
knowing I can give help to others just as help was given to
me when I needed it.
This became daily practice for me after I met a Form 2
student who was persistent in aiding those in need. When
I asked him why, he explained that his father taught him
so. I was touched and amazed, and swore to uphold the
same. This student’s name is Joseph Lim.
Do email your experiences to me as I would love to hear
all about them. Being able to help others by passing on my
knowledge and advice brings me great joy.

successful in corporate training,
learnt to be helpful. Practise it
every day.”

“Amateurs sit and wait for inspiration, the rest of us
just get up and go to work.”
Stephen King
I am an excellent learner. When I was studying, I worked
hard at being a student not because I wanted to score A’s
in my exams; but to become a better person so that I
could help other people succeed in class too. Today, I do
all that I can to help more people achieve success,
financially and emotionally.
I am a
• software developer (Java, Excel, and Excel macro)
and consultant
• corporate trainer (Excel and Microsoft Access)
• motivational trainer
• project manager
• business owner
• business coach
45
• and again, an excellent learner who is great at
implementing what I’ve learnt.
I am a perfectionist. I will continuously go over each
aspect of my life until it is perfect.
I have an extremely important message for my readers
who desire achieving greater success in life:
Are you willing to learn from me?
I graduated as a computer science student and worked as
a software developer for the first few years after that. I
never imagined myself having to sell something to
someone as a job, but I one day became a salesperson by
chance. It was hard at first but after a while, I had obtained
the tools and secrets of success and could confidently
market and sell my services competently. I even started to
enjoy this unplanned part of my career. After some time,
another door of opportunity opened to become a corporate
trainer and I jumped at the chance.
On the course to becoming a successful corporate trainer,
I struggled like how many successful people did on their
way to the top. But I was willing to change, I decided to
change, and I was eager to learn.
I had no idea that there was so much of Excel to learn. I
was only familiar with basic functions such as inserting
46
and deleting columns, rows, and worksheets. Today, I
have a much firmer grasp of Excel than ever before.
Corporations are willing to pay me to train their most
valuable asset: their employees, who are always
constructive with happy feedback. Every successful
business that I know of uses specific tools to help run the
company, and Excel is only one of them. Think about what
tools your company and employees use. Without these
tools, it would be more difficult to attain and exceed the
company's goals and your own goals.
To date, I have successfully trained 150 corporate leaders
and 2000 of their employees.
Over the years, I also developed tools for my own
business to use and now, to share with you. With these
tools, I am sure that you can attain the kind of
achievements I am proud of today and perhaps triumph
even better.
I have another reason for choosing to be so open. This
particular, unfortunate event that occurred in 2013, turned
my world upside down and again drastically shifted my
mind-set. How could it not have changed a person?
My wife and I were expecting a healthy baby. We were so
excited as it was our firstborn child. My wife delivered a
47
beautiful baby boy but unfortunately, he had stopped
breathing from inside his mother’s womb. Our first child
was stillborn. Our dear son had left us early to be with
God. Imagine how short his life turned out to be. He had
barely gotten to live. It took us quite a while to get over it.
It was very difficult to pull through, but it made us realise
that we may not live as long as we expect. Who knows
what might happen tomorrow? We may not get to share
what we had wanted to share with everyone.
After getting much better from the heartbreak, it hit me, to
write a book. Why not put this to action now, I thought.
After many suggestions put my way, I decided to write this
book that year (2014).
• I had written a set goal,
• Appointed a time and date for when the projected
was to be started and completed by,
• Had a date confirmed for publishing (30th March
2014)
My life might be short but it means something to me.
When you realise that you are only given a limited life
span on earth, you probably wouldn’t have time to blame
anyone anymore. You would probably work hard for the
48
remaining time you have and to share the happiness you
have with the people around you.
When challenges come your
way, a successful trainer will
choose to learn from it.

Have You Practiced It?
If you know this secret, have you practiced it? Have you
stop yourself from reading newspapers in the morning?
Your thought is a powerful weapon.
If you have already come across this secret, help spread
the word. Assist them in their path like I did. The
profession you possess does not matter. Be it a teacher,
an author, a coach, a trainer, a tutor, a student, or even an
IT geek. This law applies to you. It applies to everyone.
I hope that with my life experiences, my reference about
the ‘law of attraction’ will inspire you and many to come. It
affirms you in creating the life you really want. You can
have all that you desire if you would just believe it.
In fact, I rewrote my experiences and reread it again. It
helps me see how lucky I was all these years. With God’s
blessing every step of the way.
“A successful corporate trainer knows the
power of the words that comes out from
his/her mouth. When he/she speak, it
creates a predictable result.”

Does having more money make you happier?
…………………………………………………………
What makes you happy?
…………………………………………………………
What makes you feel down?
…………………………………………………………
How can you make yourself happy?
…………………………………………………………
53
By reading this chapter, you shall witness one of
my secret weapons to defence against the
“unhappy” virus from entering my mind. I have a
super shield that protects my mind from thinking
negatively. Do you want to know? Yes? Join me.
First, take out your pen and jot down an event or a
task that you have just concluded well yesterday or
the week before.
54
Ok. Have you write it down yet? Yes? I believe you.
Have you notice that by just simply writing
something like this down you have motivated
yourself? You have just learn how to motivate
yourself.
I don’t teach anything that I don’t practice it myself.,
period.
So here’s mine
I think my mind prefer something structural. I know
what I need to write down. Mind set, you set your
mind with a certain structure., and your mind will
then work accordingly.
55
So why recording your successful moments a
matter at all? Why is it really important?
Take your time and write your reasons as to why
here.
1 ………………………………………………………
2. ………………………………………………………
3. ………………………………………………………
56
What's the problem we are trying to address here?
Do you ever feel down?
Do you ever feel powerless?
Do you fear going to work?
Do you fear closing a sales deal?
Do you fear hearing the word “No”, or the word
“stupid” from others?
Do you feel like you can’t do anything well?
Do you feel like you are incapable of anything?
Do you feel you’re worthless?
Do you feel that what you have (your knowledge) is
of little value?
Do you belittle yourself often?
Think about it. If you do feel incapable of doing
anything, then what is the basis of your claim to
empower others? Can you make those you claimed
better than you?
57
Happy trainers have a unique selling point as to
which they are more than able to secure a
corporate deal. They have high positive energy and
an aura that pulls people to them. People like to
associate themselves with positivity.
So, is being happy one of the important
characteristics of a successful corporate trainer?
I would say yes. If you are happy, most likely you
would know your own value which makes you
confident.
Why does a person feel incompetent?
What did they do to feel this way or what they did
do?
A few years back I begin to wonder what the root of
the problem is. It might be the lack of confidence, or
even lack faith in God or they don’t believe in God
to begin with. It kind of made sense then until I met
T. Harv. He reveals the number one reason as to
why people feel incompetent is because they do not
acknowledge that their own ability could reach
greatness.
58
He quoted this “Success breeds success, if you
can’t recognize your little achievements, then you
can’t have bigger success”. I know you want to be a
top-notch trainer, teacher, tutor, coach or a top
student because you are reading this book now.
Do train yourself everyday. If you can’t do it
everyday, try training weekly. Would you want to be
a top notch trainer, teacher, tutor, coach, student,
or maybe an excellent parent?
If your answer is yes, then you must follow the
steps accordingly to ensure success.
Follow the steps every single week.
Will you be willing to carry out my instructions if
feeling capable is being guaranteed to you? Will
you gain more confidence by being assured? Will
you be always happy?
You might already know this, but:
Did you do it?
How often do you do it?
What exactly did you do?
59
Are you ready to become more powerful in the next
30 minutes?
Yes. Please consider reading.
No, why?
________________________________________
So, how did you get into that state?
Reminder: If you have yet to recognise your own
abilities, you might not know yourself very much.
Knowledge is the key ingredient to your success.
Measure your own strength. The things that you
can do and the things you experienced in the past
can build up your confidence. Everyone obtain their
own esteem differently. Some may come slower
than others but at some point, to attain success,
one must have adopt some confidence somehow.
HR Managers would prefer to engage a confident
trainer than an indeterminate one.
If you are determined in being the best in either top
notch corporate trainer or your dream profession,
record down your achievement (small or big) every
week or day (preferable).
60
I call this powerful tool the “Success Recording
Tool” (SRT). It may seem a little too simple to
believe in, but it has the power to give you an
instant charge of power.
Start writing down your first successful moment.
If you find it too difficult to get pass your obstacles
now, you could always contact me. I have a team of
professionals to coach you towards victory.
If you have printed or written down at least 6 of your
successful moments, Congratulations. Give
yourself a pat on the back. You have just taken an
amazing first step towards achieving your goal(s).
How do you feel now?
Step 2, activating the power of this tool:
Shout it out loud.
Have you already said it out loud now?
61
Step 3, increase the power of this tool:
Record your triumphs and listen to it repeatedly.
Does this actually work for you? I am not sure
about you, but it did sure worked for me. Listening
to my own victories made me more confident.
Did the technique work worked for you when you
have tried it out?
If it did, please share this tool with your friend and
family too.
I created this method on the morning of 10 March
2014
I wrote down the idea as fast as possible when the
idea hit me. Later, I restructured and further
improved on the theory.
62
How and when can you use this tool?
When a stranger, or a colleague, or even a friend(s)
shoot hurtful comments at you like “you are
rubbish” or “you are useless” or even “you are
stupid”, won’t you feel like that as well?
I recalled my childhood days when some of the kids
would yell “You dumpy buffalo” at me time after
time. I really feel like punching the kid in the face or
anyone that calls me that. I fear hearing the word
‘dump’ or ‘buffalo” or when it’s placed together in a
sentence. I would scream at me mom because I
was upset but it was not my mother’s fault. I did not
want to do that but I could not control myself when I
was at that age.
What is this mindset that made me act out that
way?
Was it that I can’t control my temper, I eat too much
red meat, not enough rest, or was it simple just too
hot? What else can I think of that explains my
behaviour? As a kid, I tend to act upon my actions
to solve basically everything. Why?
63
I read somewhere that it might be the term called
“self-image” but I do not think it is so. What kid
would think of something so complicated as this?
Even adults have problem figuring it out
themselves.
I think the reason behind such behaviour are
because I am trying to figure myself out. I have not
look at myself yet. Really look into my true self.
I would not stop and assured myself otherwise
when someone were to call me ‘dump buffalo”.
Would I have taken a look at the mirror and tell
myself “hey, I am human, not a buffalo”, everything
might have been better.
You are being called stupid at work by your
colleague after making some mistakes. You
become angry almost instantly. Why is that?
You don’t know how capable you are. You have no
records of your. Not recording your successes is
like waiting for bad news. It could happen in the
next few seconds, the next few hours, next few
days, weeks, or even years.
64
When your boss calls you names, “Are you
stupid!?!?!”, just walk away politely. Don’t think
about the negativity he, she, or they can drag you
in. Just use the SRT method. Keep reminding
yourself of your own successes.
You are a magician. You can turn lemons into
lemonades. What I mean is you can turn the
negativity into something positive. When you take
advantage of your negative situation, you are in
turn changing the course of your unfavourable
standing.
Go ahead and frame your achievements where you
can see them. It will remind you of your capabilities
such as receiving a certificate upon completing the
course.
When your boss told you that “you are not good
enough for the task, don’t worry about it, just be
confident. You know you are capable. It is all you
need to know that is important, to believe in
yourself. your confidence is based on this powerful
tool – Success Record Tool.
Your confidence is widely based on this SRT
method.
65
When someone calls you names, just walk away
and give the other party to calm down. As for you,
use your SRT.
One of the things that I learn from a self defence
class is that if you can avoid it, avoid it. Only fight if
it is the last option of survival. Escape if you can
even if you are already a master level at kung fu.
Choose to avoid even when you know you can take
on the other party. The first thing the master will
teach you in self defence class is if you can run
away, choose to run away.
What do you do when you come into a
robber/kidnapping kind of situation?
1. Run away
2. Run away
3. Run away
Last option: Fight your way out, then run away.
Avoid!
Do you think Superman will rip open his shirt and
reveal himself when his boss criticise him? No. He
66
won’t. He would continue to do what Clark Kent
does.
Now, how did he achieve that?
His superman suit inside his normal clothes is a
reminder who he is. He never loses his identity as
superman and his alter ego identity as Clark, a
reporter and columnist.
So, do you have the “S” logo on your chest?
Would you want one? You can have it. Your “S”
logo is the SRT. The successes you record
everyday is like your badge. You can carry it to your
work with you, restaurants, at home, anywhere you
want. To increase the power of the badge, just
reveal it to yourself, read and/or say aloud
repeatedly. Like a chant or a prayer, you recite your
successes until you fully charged your motivation
and confidence. You can now say you are capable
proudly.
You are the best in your profession. Write down at
least 2 of your successes. Record it now.
67
It would only take less than 7 minutes to write and
record it. You can do anything when you set your
mind to it. So what are you waiting for?
“Do unto yourself as you
would have yourself do unto
others”
What you do to others greatly determines on how
you do unto yourself.
If you loathe yourself, how do you learn to show
affection for others?
If you want to admire others, you must first learn to
admire oneself.
In our business trainings, we have mutual
acceptance and trust between the trainers and the
trainees. We are not training machines but human
beings. Human being needs affection and
acceptance to live emotionally. You need to show
your participants sincerity and respect in order to
68
obtain their full cooperation and trust. So first
acknowledge yourself and your strengths.
VERBAL PROGRAMMING
I learn about verbal programming from T. Harv.
Eker.
What is verbal programming? This is where one
would declare something to themselves repeatedly
and thus believing in that proclamation after
consistently affirming themselves of that claim.
Example: If you keep telling yourself “you are
smart” everyday, you would believe that you are.
By telling yourself the same things everyday, your
brain will eventually be convinced of it.
Do this repeatedly, non-stop for a whole 3 minutes.
Close your eyes and say it.
69
You can have all the reasons in the world to resent
yourself but you can also have reasons to love
yourself. There must be something about yourself
that you like. Find at least 7 reasons why you like
about yourself. It doesn’t have to be something big
or small. As long as it means something to you.
Start with 7 reasons first. The verdict is in your
hands whether you choose to like yourself or loathe
yourself but loving oneself usually leads to them
being happy. In fact, I like you already. Reading this
book only means that you are willing to change and
improve yourself for the future. If you are not, you
won’t be reading this book. Now, is that not
something applauded for? You are willing to
advance yourself. What’s not to like?
I like you. I like myself.
70
I like myself.
Just write down the above words (I like myself) 3
times, and read it out loud.

“There are two types of people who will tell you
that you cannot make a difference in this
world: those who are afraid to try and those
who are afraid you will succeed.”
Ray Goforth
When you feel the fear coming or venturing into a
new thing, read this part carefully.
Fear only comes when you lack or have no
experience in the very thing you are about to
venture in. It is always scary to step out of your
comfort zone.
Example: When you first start to communicate in
Mandarin (you don’t speak Chinese at all), you
might hesitate or avoid it completely because you
have no experience in speaking the lingo. You
might also wonder if you will be laughed at because
73
you pronounce it funny. And that creates a negative
vibe to you.
*And you pictured it; visualize it, giving more energy
to grow that “Picture in your mind”.
You mind can challenge your greater faith. You
could do anything once you set your mind to it.
When you have achieved that level of maturity,
nothing can stop you.
So be prepared to be laughed at by others when
you start doing something new, like when you have
your first try at communicating in Mandarin.
Be prepared to be laughed at, criticized, or even
scrutinized by others.
But know this:
They might laugh at you now, in a few years, they
won’t be laughing at you but laughing with you
because you will be able to communicate their
language flawlessly enough to joke about with
them.
74
Another hidden fact:
Many will laugh at you but there are some that will
admire you from a far giving you a little smile of
encouragement.
Set an example and people will follow.
Those who are successful don’t have the time to
laugh at those who are improving their skills but
they are willing to help if they are asked.
Those with short vision can’t see your growth so
they tease and humiliate the current you. Who
knows, your growth might trump them when they
least expect it.
Those with a vision put their faith in those they
meet because they put their trust in themselves for
choosing those selected few. So put all your focus
on those who succeeded.
75
While practising self defence with master Yew Jin, I
discovered that it is better to avoid than to find a
cure. He told us his story as to why he had chosen
to walk away rather than confront the person who
had smash into his car. If he would had chosen to
fight, he will definitely win. No doubt Master Yew Jin
has a strong defence but he also have a strong
offence. “Not that I am scared of him, I simply
chose to avoid it by driving away. I won’t confront
people unless it is necessary, unless my loved ones
or my life is in danger.” Master Yew Jin added.
So what did I learn from his story?
Not to fight unless it is life or death kind of situation.
Whenever you are thrown in this situation when you
are humiliated by someone laughing at your
mistakes or the ugly rumours spread about you, just
walk away. Those mistakes that you committed are
very common. Everybody have had made such
inaccuracy before. And those rumours spread
about you are a misconception of your true self
being portrayed wrongly to the masses. So why
should you challenge such situation when you know
that those rumours are inaccurate and those
76
mistakes you made are common? Avoiding it
doesn’t mean you fear the perpetrator. It just means
that you want to refrain from creating a greater
blunder from it.
Try to connect with people with the same goals as
you. Ergo, if you want to master Mandarin, group
with people who also wants to mater the language.
I did mention this a few times already in this book.
Join a group that will motivate you to better yourself
not destruct you.
What do you do if you can’t find such a group?
Create one of your own. “I create my life” told by my
mentor T. Harv. Eker. You can gather people using
WhatsApp or Facebook who have the same or
similar interest.
77
You can choose the one that helps you .
toward your goal. Circle it.
78
RAHSIA #7: YOU ARE SPECIAL..Very
Special, too special
Brendon Burchard, the author of “The Millionaire
Messenger” said this “What you know is valuable.”
Sometimes you need people to remind you of that
because you will forget when you are too busy with
work, life, or even family matters.
I got something valuable that only I have. It is my
experience.
Everyone have experiences but what make it
valuable is how we experienced it and how we
learnt and conclude it. And that makes each and
every experiences made valuable. What make me
special, different? It is my experience of course.
People go through life experience differently. Not
one person will have the same experience due to
their thoughts, their characteristics, their behaviour,
and their emotions. They might experience
something similar but never the same.
79
Blair Singer (my mentor) strongly emphasises:
You’ve got something so important; it is your duty,
to share it to with the world”
In T Harv Eker’s book, The Secret of the Millionaire
Mind, you will learn that your value in in your
experience. Neither did I know that I can use it as a
tool to spread my experiences and my ideas to the
world. I could embody my experience into a product
form, like a book, or a DVD.
Your value is in your experiences.
What you know can empowering you beyond what
you can imagine.

Becoming the best in your industry
I was contemplating whether to write or to rewrite
this topic one morning, so I let it sit for a while
before making that decision. In the meantime, went
ahead and read Dato Lee Chong Wei’s
autobiography. I am sure no one in Malaysia would
not know that name. His name became a
household name. He was part of spreading his
country’s good name. I concentrated on him for a
while. I watched his tournaments and interviews. I
could never fathom how much passion and spirit he
has proposed on Badminton alone. I admired him
83
greatly for his never-give-up attitude when he was
defeated but he rose again to the challenge
everytime. He became the champion through and
through. We can learn something here. By studying
successful giants, one would be inspired into
wanting to become like them as well. With my
highly trained team, you will be the top batter in
your chosen field in no time.
I studied Dato Lee Chong Wei attentively. I studied
how he got stronger each time, what he thought of
when he was on the court, how he turned himself
into a champion, and how he manage to maintain
the title. He wakes up at 5am every morning
religiously without fail. First off, for most people,
waking up in the morning is one of the hardest
things to do. Let’s not forget that he trains
rigorously almost everyday and to wake up at the
wee hour. That shows how disciplined, determine,
and serious he is about his profession.
Li Ka Sheng, Hong Kong tycoon, another great man
to admire. He reveals in one of his interview that he
wakes up at 5.59am every single day. If you want to
emerge as a champion, you have go through
extraordinary lengths to gain victory.
84
You can find a series of Li Ka Seng’s interview(s)
on online (YouTube).
Let me suggest that you download the video and go
through it a few times to really grasp the meaning. I
know I did.
After a series of studying Dato Lee Chong Wei’s
lifestyle and habits, I found out how he manage to
maintain his no.1 spot.
1. He refined his skills repeatedly,
2. Getting the help from the right coach,
3. Accepting feedbacks from his coach and
improving his skills upon those comments.
The secret is to polish your set skills persistently
and that will get you closer to your goals.
Every successful individual that I observed, Dato
Lee Chong Wei, Shila Amzah, Guang Liang, Li Ka
Sheng, T. Harv. Eker, and myself included have
one thing in common; having a clear goal in mind
that is ‘I will Be the best in my line of work and
nothing else’ since their youthful days.
85
Shila Amzah, Singer-Songwriter, who acquired her
own company with the help of her father’s
coaching. She began singing at a tender age of 10
and never stopped since then. I came to know that
she could not sing in front of an audience at first.
She kept trying eventhough it was hard on her and
the result was not as she wished. Her father was
even wondering if this was too much for her to
handle at this age but she persisted through. Hard
work really paid off. She worked hard training for it
and she presented her audience with a significant
performance.
As a trainer and a writer, I do the same. I continue
cultivating my training skills, my writing, and on
editing my work. It won’t be the best on the first try
but I will continue to better my work like how Dato
Lee Chong Wei does his routine religiously. All
renowned works go through trial and error before
being presented.
Every successful professional I know have a coach
or a mentor. Tiger woods has one, T. Harv. Eker
has one, Blair Singer has one, even my online
business coach, Kai Hock, has one. We won’t know
if the decisions we make would create the outcome
that we want. If you have a coach or a mentor, they
86
can assist and/or advise you in achieving your
goal(s).
To be the best, you need a coach. The right coach
will motivate and push you to a higher level. You
will need them to lead you towards the right path
and not influence you otherwise. I needed the
assistance when I was learning about online
marketing and how to publish my book. Jim
Edwards and Les Kletke guided me when I needed
help on how I can publish my book. Your coach can
be anyone at all. It could even be your loved ones.
Not forgetting my greatest supporter when I have
lost all confidence, my wife, Josie.
You can be the best with your own strengths or you
could learn from others while working together
towards a common goal. Work Smart. Don’t go
thinking that you can do this alone. There are
coaches around for a reason. So you don’t have to
step into the same mistake(s) you made in the past.
Find a coach in your field of profession.
Example:
If you want to find an online business coach, simply
google ‘Malaysian online business coaches’. To
87
ensure accuracy in your findings, try to be more
specific when googling.
If you type in ‘Malaysian online coaches’, you will
have all kinds of coaches available and you will
have to spend time cutting through pages after
pages to find what you want/need.
My journey to become number one
Who am I to claim such reward ‘best corporate
trainer in Malaysia’? Dare I to claim such
honorarium? I bet many people will start shooting
arrows at me if I were to admit this out loud. Ok. I
have to confess. It is not easy to conclude such a
mindset. But am I the best yet? Can I garner
massive support from the audience yet? I am not
sure myself but I do know that I am moving in the
right direction.
Let me share an autobiography, ‘Menjulang
kejuaraan’, by Dato Lee Chong Wei. He tells
himself that he is no.1 everyday before even
achieving that title. I have learn that if you convince
yourself of something everyday, you will become
that eventually. Dato Lee Chong Wei certainly
never would have thought that he will be the world’s
best badminton player.
88
Can others be world’s best when that title is already
been given to someone else? Even if the title has
been claimed, it could still be yours one day.
Many players wished to be the best player in the
world. The difference between him and them is that
Dato Lee Chong Wei firmly believes in himself and
acts on it. He will pay the price to work long and
hard for it. Thus waking up in the wee hour and
throwing in extra workouts into his schedule.
As for me, I continue writing with this method I
created ‘the Daily Workout Sheet’. ‘The Daily
Workout Sheet’ slowly programs your brain to get
use to writing so when you have a pen/pencil and
paper with you, you could automatically write
smoothly. Now I can just sit down with a pen and
paper(s) and start writing until I reach my goal for
the day. I was not able to write for days but today I
can write up to 1,000 words in an hour or less.
Before the creation of DWS (the Daily Workout
Sheet) I was only able to complete 300 words for
more than 3 hours. Can you see the difference?
Amazing is it not?
This is a great achievement for me. I did the
unthinkable when the people around me try to talk
89
me out of it. I was not very good at writing essays
when I was growing up nor was I very good during
my adult life and now it is possible. To get to your
destination, you will use whatever means to get you
there faster if you want it that badly.
I can say that I owe my success to thinking this way
‘I am the number 1 excel corporate trainer’. It took
me 8 years to really acknowledge my positive
mindset. It was not an easy task at all.
Thinking this way ‘if you think you can, you can’
won’t get you anywhere if you don’t apply it.
How many times have you heard of this before ‘if
you think you can, you can.’? How many people
succeeded thinking this way? The statement lacks
charisma, entity. You need a tool that is practical
and something that he/she actually can believe in.
I came to this mind frame by visualising another
system/method that I outlined 8 years back. I have
never witness a system like this before, as far as I
know. Initially, this system was only intended for
myself and to help me better my work.
I come to like myself specializing in wider scope
areas such as me being a writer, a trainer, and an
90
inventor. Using Excel’s macro, I developed a tool to
record salary slip and to administer certificates
efficiently. I orchestrated a system for the
pharmaceutical company few years back and they
were rewarded generously for it.
It worked for me. I have develop simple tools as
well. Though it may seem like it is simple, but it is
as powerful as how the user operate it. Would you
like to know what it is?
I know you want to be the best in your field of work
because you are reading this book right now. Let
me reveal this tool, SRT (Success Recording Tool),
to you now.
This tool has helped countless of my students, me
included, to adopt a positive mindset. I was
wondering what I could do to dominate my own
mind. So I formulate a few boxes, six boxes to be
exact, and jot down my successes every single
week.
Its easy right? A little too simple? But it is not so
simple to produce or even keep up with the writing
every single week not to mention the roadblocks
you might come across. Just repeat the need-to-do
91
steps again and again. You might be surprise at
how your results turn out to be.
How writers make a living with just their writings?
They just keep writing and refining their work.
SRT is structured into 6 boxes. The brain will see
the volume of successes clearly as it is categorized
neatly for the brain to analyse smoothly. Recording
my successes will motivate me to do and to
improve more so that I could top those past
successes that I achieved. I did it every single day
without fail not just for a few weeks or a few
months. So that means I wrote down my successes
One major setback in you trying to be successful is
the fear you have of others slandering you. You
might have experienced this from an early age. The
fear grows as you grow.
I don’t know about you but I have people
discouraging me all too often. Things like “Why are
you so bad at this subjects?”, “Why is your sister
better than you?”, “why can’t you do better than our
neighbour’s son/daughter?”, “something is wrong
with you”, “Why did you score so badly?”, “Why are
you so lazy?”, “How can you pause your work to
sleep?”, “You are lazy”, “You are stupid”, “You are
92
no good”, “You can’t train anyone well”, “You can’t
be a trainer”, “People don’t need your knowledge
and skill”, and more. The list can go on. All these
negative comments could block me from even
trying. But there is also another voice that
reassured my decision making. “Kent, you did
great!”, “You are amazing!”, “How did you solve it in
2 minutes when it took me more than an hour to?”,
“You inspire me.”, “Thank you.”, “You motivate
me.”, “keep doing what you do.” Wouldn’t you like
to hear these rather some negative remark?
What does this mean? There are always two voices
in your head. The voice on your left will express
negatively where as the voice on your right advises
positively. While listening to the voice on your left
leave you feeling disheartened, the voice on your
right will brighten you with confidence reinforcing
you to continue what you are doing, to spread my
knowledge to the world.
I am sure by now you could identify those
individuals. A good teacher motivates and push
his/her students to achieve their goals. You can just
ask those successful individuals who taught them
and you will understand why.
93
I recall my childhood days and how my teacher
used to dampen my hopes and dreams with fear.
The old classic way of teaching, to hit the students
when they are wrong. Why can’t they just explain
why we are wrong? I hated going to her English
class all the time. She would hit my hands when I
can’t answer a certain question. It was better during
my secondary school days when we will enjoy the
class rather than hate it. The teacher uses
experimental teaching to teach us which was
enjoyable and fun. From then on, I enjoyed learning
and wanted to study it more. She will always teach
us with a smile and that brightens our day. It is a
teacher’s job to aid his/her students with their
learning and to motivate them to greater heights not
embed pressure and fear into his/her students
forcing them to take in more than their usual pace.
If I were taught with pressure and fear, I will study
only because I have to and I didn’t want to get in
trouble.
Be careful of who you associate yourself with. It the
things they say that could hinder with your thoughts
feeling moody and leading you to be unfavourable
for work and life. Their opinion could change how
things are going for you. It could even influence you
94
to make the wrong decisions. Leave those with
negativity. Associate yourself with positivity. Find
them. They might just be around you. I would
recommend this seminar, Millionaire Mind
Intensive, to everyone. I learn a lot from this
seminar. I manage to convince my girlfriend, my
wife now, that I am the one for her with this simple
mindset ‘I do what I say, I say what I do’.
You must choose if you want to be the best.
Will you choose (A) you didn’t do well or (B) believe
you can improve with _______ steps? Choices that
will bring me to the next level and achieving my
goal of becoming the best in my field.
Which one did you choose?
(A) Or (B)
Your feedback:
Why?
95
The first thing to do if you want to be successful is
to write down your goal(s) and tell yourself that you
will achieve you goal(s) again and again. You can
email you objective to me and my team and we can
see how best to help you achieve it.
To be number one, the best, I choose the positive
voice; listen to your own positive thoughts, your
own positive messages. God says ‘All things are
possible if you just believe in him’ this is true.
Together with this tool that I created, you will agree
to the above statement.
When you are feeling down, you must try to get out
if it fast. Do not let it lingers. The longer it remains
the bigger it grows. Try to avoid those who are
negative. They will only slow you down. Stop
reading negative opinions on Facebook or some
social network media. Very often, those media
influences you in a negative way. Don’t be
disappointed if you can’t afford to attend any
seminars. There are many things you could do
without going to seminars. You could watch and/or
listen to motivational videos. The best time to listen
to encouraging messages or songs is when you
96
have just woken up and just before you sleep. I do
this every morning. It motivates and enhances my
character as a person. Off with the old habit,
reading the newspaper, and in with the new,
listening to positive messages. There are a lot of
free sites to subscribe to. Try it.
Your task today (any one of these, tick after you
completed (✓) ):
1 Watch the interview(s) of Shila Amzah
2 Watch the interview(s) of Dato’ Lee Chong
Wei
3 Watch interview(s) of Tony Fernadez
4 Read the autobiography of Lee Chong Wei
5 Read the autobiography of Li Ka Sheng
6 And record your successful moment(s)
You might become one of the successful giants in
your industry in the future so record your
achievements now.
97
Wonder why I ask you to watch those interviews
over and over? It is to program your brain to think
positively in any and/or given situations. I learn and
applied it to my everyday life. My coach, Jossie,
emphasizes this all the time in her advertisements.
Have a coach
Choosing a coach is crucial. You must choose
someone who can motivate you, someone who can
guide you, teach you how to go about things, and
someone who could provide me with an honest but
positive feedback, and someone who has their faith
in me.
We may not be able to do everything perfectly, but
we can try to perfect it. Once you have written your
goal down, commit to it.
People like Dato Lee Chong Wei, Shila Amzah.
They commit their time and effort on the things that
they do best. So focus on one thing that you are the
best at doing and commit to it.
If you need help, please get in touch with me.
Here’s are some homework for you. It is easy and
simple, you just need to do it.
98
Write these words down “I have important
knowledge and experience to share”.
Write it down and stick these messages on your
wall. Make sure to write it down big and bold so you
can see from a far.
I did all these in the past and I’m still doing it. It’s
your turn now. Make your dreams a reality. Make
sure to do this before moving on to the next
chapter.
One you have your written goal, go for it.
A little bit more about me
I was not as accomplished in Microsoft Excel as I
am now. I was trained in college as a programmer
not a speaker nor a teacher. I saw the need to train
others in the industry so I researched it. I didn’t sit
around doing nothing, hoping that it would just fall
on my lap. I worked hard on it to make it real.
I enrolled myself for a ‘Train the trainer’ course with
T. Harv. Eker to learn better how to train people
successfully. Although I successfully trained my first
class, LB Aluminium Bhd, beating the rest of the
99
competitors in the market, I continued to practice
and improve my skills.
After the ‘train the trainer’ course, I gained more
skills and ideas on how to train corporate clients. I
keep changing my methods so it will differ from the
other Excel trainers. I also continued to market
myself on all the forums and sites that I can find.
Then my first website was born, ugrowit.net, and
my first training company was built, Pusat Latihan
Doggy. I changed the name a few times. It was
hard at first but after the change, it became better.
From UGROW IT Solutions to the current name,
Creativewise sdn bhd.
Successful trainers don’t start right away. They go
through a lot of hardships to get the experience and
knowledge to lead their students today.
I continue bettering my skills and training manuals
so that it will be easier for the reader to understand
and apply it.
100
T Harv Eker has taught me this: “I create my life”. I
was sure it was this because I created my new
career, “Successful corporate trainer” from that.
Me being excellent is the result of the never ending
learning process that I am still practicing, up to this
day. I continue to learn new things. One of the ways
to share your knowledge with the world is using the
internet.
Example: I learn how to use the pie chart. After
learning it, I recorded a video on how to use a pie
chart and posted it on YouTube. No one posted
tutorials so I took the liberty to do it.
(You) are the best trainer in
your (training subject).
Write the above statement again. Change the
“You” to your name.
E.g. Kent is the best trainer in Microsoft Excel Training.

THE VALUE OF TRAINING
$600,000 “Recently, I was asked if I was going to fire an
employee who made a mistake that cost the
company $600,000. No, I replied, I just spent
$600,000 training him. Why would I want
somebody to hire his experience?”
THOMAS J. WATSON
Thomas John Watson Sr. (February 17, 1874 – June 19, 1956)
served as the chairman and CEO of International Business Machines
(IBM) and oversaw the company's growth into an international force
from 1914 to 1956. Watson developed IBM's management style and

CREATIVEWISE’S
MISSION MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN ASIA THROUGH WORLDVISION
At Creativewise, we would like to make a difference in Asia
through the collective effort and resources available by World
Vision. This isn’t my first time doing charity, but I think it is
good to tell the world that – we have good people in Malaysia
that have the little capacity to bless others less fortune one.
I participated in the Famine 30 Hours before back in year
2000 or 2001, held at HELP University. I knew a little bit of
what it felt like – stay hungry without any food (but we still
provided water and entertainment throughout)
We not only talk about it, we do it. To make a difference, don’t
just talk about it, do it, and it is the action, that create the
result you want. You say you want to make a better world,
don’t just say it, Do it. start small, but take the first step, you
will see how happy you will be.
YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE
There is a story says – a young boy is throwing the starfish
back to the sea. then a man sees this act, then he asked the
young boy – why are you doing this? do you know they are
109
thousand and thousands of starfish lying on the sea, you can’t
help everyone…
then the young boy smile and bent his back and pick up
another starfish and as he throws the starfish, he told the man
Yes, I can’t help every starfish, but I help this one at least – I
make a difference to this one starfish.
Don’t underestimate your one action, but don’t be like the man
– who think he can’t, thinking will not produce result, it is the
action that changes the result
The young boy certainly causes a change, make a difference
to another starfish. I believe so.
Just like my sifu T Harv Eker said: Thought leads to Feeling,
Feeling leads to Action, and Action leads to Result – T > F >
A = R
You want to produce result in life, ACT on it – Keep your
promise, you will be the next millionaire. God or the Universe
wants to make sure you succeed, becoming extremely
wealthy and bless millions, if not, make just another difference
to another child/youth.
“They deserve a better life.”

“We are judged by our
performance, not by what we
promise.”
“We promised the people that under a democracy their
opportunities for a better life with individual freedom
are possible. We fought Communism, and if we do not
improve the life of our people, then they will find
Communism attractive and the fight would have been a
lost cause.
We have to show them now that the Government cares
for them, that the Government is here to serve them.
"We told them we will give them roads to bring their
products on, schools to send their children to, hospitals
and clinics to improve their health. We cannot waste
our time—we have to work fast, we have to show results
for we are judged by our performance, not by what we
promise.
People must see the results of their Government's work
in tangible form to regain their confidence. They have
been neglected for so long. It is true that we have not
involved them as we should have, but that is the second
phase in our rural development, and we are doing that
now. Now that the infrastructure has been built,
we can go to the people and tell them 'we have done
what the Government has promised, now you must do
your share.”
