specific location• Visible tiered CAS antennas/RRUs or
use a camouflaged enclosure• Roadside cabinets (size area per Telco
at 2.4m (L) X 1.2m (D) X 2.0m (H))• Height: 18/24mtr• Design: 5G ready• Each Telco flexible to plan their sectors
& tilt (improve coverage & quality).• Can attached Smart elements from LC
(optional)Disadvantage:• Required more roadside cabinets with
bigger compound area.

Use Cases• Challenges or lesson learned need to be addressed
ImplementationGovernance
• Difficulty in accessing Greenfield area (new township); the land/asset still belong to the developer. GPP-I need to be adopted.
• Each state / council have different set process and checklist requirement.
• Many State / PBTs have appointed “exclusive” partner. Deny telco accessing Street Furniture asset.
• Garis Panduan-KPKT (2002) yet to be revised and updated
• Safety concerns (work at the roadside)
• State / PBTs expectation “aesthetic/design Vs. technology limitation”
• Public protest “not in my backyard”.
• Support from other agencies e.g TNB and JKR to expediate the approval or power supply.
