LecturerDr Csilla Saysell BA(Hons) MA PhDLecturer - Old Testament

Carey Graduate School is pleased to introduce Dr Csilla Saysell, our new lecturer in Old Testament.

Csilla, originally from Hungary, has recently moved to NZ after living in the UK for 10 years. Before coming to Carey she taught Old Testament and Hebrew at St John’s College, Nottingham and was a guest lecturer at Cranmer Hall, Durham University. She was also involved in mission work among international students in the UK and among travellers/tourists in Israel. Among other writings Csilla is the author of According to the Law: Reading Ezra 9-10 as Christian Scripture. JTISup 4 (Winona Lake, IN.:Eisenbrauns, 2012).

She is keen to make the world of the Old Testament come alive for students so that they might recognise how it can speak meaningfully into their present-day experience as Christians and to show that its God is the same loving Father who sent Jesus Christ to save the world.

All welcome to attend.
