Meet the ProctorsBoth Matt and Leslie are native West Texans but they love

calling RBC home. Leslie has been in Austin since 1999. After graduating high school, she headed east to attend UT Austin and has been here ever since. After enrolling at Texas State, Matt moved to Austin in 2001. Matt and Leslie married in 2006 and have since had two children. Paige who is 3 and JD who is 4 months. Leslie is a Registered Dietitian but quit work when Paige was born to stay home. She enjoys taking the kids to the pool, a good workout, and her quite time once everyone is in bed (every mom can relate to that!). Matt works as the operations manager for an Austin based landscaping company. His love for the outdoors keeps him busy. He enjoys golf, hunting, and watching football. The Proctors have called RBC home since 2010 and love the close knit, kid friendly neighborhood.

BACKYARD HIGHLIGHTS

Before and after pictures! - Congratulations to Todd & Erica Woodford, 302 Bluff Point Bend,

Amazing backyard!

A POOL RULE REMINDERAlcohol consumption at the pool is restricted per Pool Rules.

We have not enforced this to date, unless it gets out of hand. What is ABSOLUTLEY PROHIBITED, is bringing glass containers to the pool area. If we need to close the pool for one week this summer to drain it and cleanup broken glass, the whole community suffers. PLEASE, PLEASE use common sense and don’t bring glass.

Mo was born on the 4th of July nine years ago in our home near Seattle. Her mother, now named Missy, was left behind when her family moved. A co-worker of Debi’s noticed her, saw that she was pregnant & asked us to take her. Debi & a neighbor assisted in the birth of the 4 female kittens, which Byron named Eenie, Meenie, Miney & Mo.

Missy & the other kittens were adopted by our neighbor & another friend, but we just had to keep the cute little gray & white one. Mo joined our household of 3 older cats, Spud, Sneaker & Mama Kitty.

Shortly after we moved to R@BC almost 6 years ago, we were riding our bikes near the pool when a young lady asked if we liked kittens. Must have been the big neon sign on our backs. She told us a feral cat had brought her kittens to the porch of a house in the neighborhood. The owners were preparing to move & wanted to find homes for the kittens before they moved. We stopped by & saw the perfect orange & white kitten that Byron had always wanted. But, with 3 cats already, he said he didn’t want another one. Debi persisted & brought the kitten home. Byron, of course, fell in love with him. The house was on Bedrock Court.

Spud, Sneaker & Mama Kitty - and even our R@BC rescue, Maverick - lived long lives with us & we hope to have Mo & Bamm Bamm around for another 15 years or so. Both are indoor cats, but get to spend lots of supervised time in our fenced back yard where they can enjoy the wildlife & greet people walking by on the greenbelt path.

Due to persistent low lake levels, the City of Cedar Park is proactively entering Stage 3 Watering Restrictions on August 1. This means outdoor watering is allowed only one day per week, according to assigned mandatory watering schedules. Watering schedules are also changing.

The City of Cedar Park is taking this proactive measure to extend our water supply, as low lake levels persist, and also to get people into the habit now of watering one day a week. Lake Travis is quickly approaching the 618-foot level that triggers the Stage 3 Watering Restrictions per our Drought Contingency Plan and mandated water use reductions by the LCRA, and rather than waiting and risking dipping below that minimum level, the City is entering Stage 3.

Katherine Woerner, Director of Community Affairs, who oversees the City of Cedar Park’s Resource Efficiency Division, says, “We are being responsible and proactive by entering Stage 3. It is very important that our customers get used to their new watering schedule now and adhere to it. Together, we can make it through this drought and not overburden our water supply and system.”

Woerner says that the City of Cedar Park will leave Stage 3 when lake levels rise for a sustained period of time, and in accordance with the conditions outlined in its Drought Contingency Plan and LCRA requirements.

Woerner adds, “While this spring’s rain showers have helped renew our yards and landscapes, the rainfall has not been hard enough and long enough to raise lake levels. This year is forecast to be yet another year of extreme drought conditions with below-average inflows into the lakes, and Central Texas continues to face potentially the worst drought on record.”

The new Stage 3 Watering Restrictions schedule, effective August 1, 2013, is as follows: •ResidentseastofLakelineBoulevard: Oddaddresseswateron
