Camp Judson is located three miles west of Keystone, South Dakota, and just a few minutes

from Mount Rushmore, Sheridan Lake and Custer State Park. Take Mount Rushmore Road (Highway 16) from Rapid City to Highway 16A and follow it to Keystone. Just before the entrance to Keystone, turn right (west) on Old Hill City Road (County Road No. 323) and follow it three miles to camp.

RRegistration for all camps includes meals, lodging

and programming. Out-of-state campers pay 10 percent more. All camps except Project Camp begin

with an evening meal on opening day (Sunday) and close after breakfast on the closing day (Saturday). Parents or drivers should drop off camp-ers between 2:30 and 5 p.m. on

Sunday and pick them up before 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

buses are chartered for Junior, Junior High, Se-nior High and Trail camps. See your pastor or camp

contact person for a bus schedule. Campers who wish to travel by bus must reserve their seat when they register for camp. If the bus is full when you

register, you’ll be placed on a waiting list. Campers cannot board the bus unless their bus fare has been

received by the Regional Offi ce. No refunds are available without notifying the offi ce at least 10 days before a camp begins. Campers are advised to carry enough money with them for two meals: one on the

way to camp and one on the way home.

A ECampers should bring extra money for crafts,

snacks and off erings. Craft materials are furnished at an additional cost to campers. Some of the craft work utilizes natural materials to keep costs down. The camp store sells pop, candy, ice cream, T-shirts and other camp memora-bilia. Two off erings, one

for missions and the other for Camp Judson, are

taken during the week.

Camp Judson aff ords the outdoor enthusiast plenty to experience and explore. The beautiful grounds of Camp Judson cover 160 acres of mountain terrain that border the Black Hills National Forest. Several hiking trails lead out of camp, with three of the more popular routes leading to Mount Baldy, Mount Rushmore and

Horsethief Lake. Pine Creek winds down the canyon through camp to our lake surrounded by pine, fi r and aspen. Canoes and paddle boats are available on the lake, and daily swim times are scheduled with a life-guard on duty. Our lake and nearby Horsethief Lake provide great fi shing. The recreation fi eld, playground, park and picnic area are fun spots for the young and the young at heart.

registration but will be returned if camp is full. A limited number of tent and RV sites with electric and water hook-ups are avail-able to Adult and Family campers. Adult or Family campers who use their own accomo-
