The protoptype of the system producing electricity by a solar chimney at Isparta conditions was developed and its performance was tested.
The principle of the chimney is that heated air under greenhouse region raises up due to natural convection.
This project is the Pioneer and only Project in our country.
CURRENT PROJECTS IN YEKARUM2-) Solar Tower application on Solar Chimney with Heliostatic Mirrors
CURRENT PROJECTS IN YEKARUM
The solar tower also know as central tower power plants or heliostat power plants or power towers is a type of solar furnace using a tower to receive the focused sunlight.
it uses an array of flat, movable mirrors (called heliostats) to focus the sun’s rays upon a collector tower (the target).
CURRENT PROJECTS IN YEKARUM 3-) Mobile Meteorology Station
CURRENT PROJECTS IN YEKARUM Two-axes solar tracking system was developed
and applied to a PV panel system.
The power needed by the mobile meteorology station and lightening system were provided via this developed system.
For controlling, PIC-control system is used in this system.
CURRENT PROJECTS IN YEKARUM4-) Clean Energy House
CURRENT PROJECTS IN YEKARUM
Electrical energy requirement of Clean Energy House was provided by PV system.
PV system has capacity of 1.5 kW instant and 5 kW daily power
This project is the first prototype of Intelligent and Clean Energy House at S.D.U.
Academic researches have been continuing on the house and it has been used as a showroom

Vacuum-tubed
CURRENT PROJECTS IN YEKARUM Saturated or superheated vapor and oil are
produced with parabolic solar collectors (trough type) to provide the energy need for ındustrial processes
In addition, these systems can also be used to provide the required heat of chemical reactors
Solar tracking systems for these type collector have also been developed.

CURRENT PROJECTS IN YEKARUM The cold used in air-conditioning or cold storage
can be produced by renewable energy (solar, geothermal, biomass etc.)
In YEKARUM, renewable assisted ejector cooling system was developed.
This system can work with using heat sources on the temperature range of 30-200ºC

7-) Photovoltaic lightning and electric production systems

PV supported LED lightening systems applied at different places of S.D.U. Campus
Inverter and control circuits were developed and manufatured by YEKARUM

8-) Biogas and biomass researches
CURRENT PROJECTS IN YEKARUM The system capable of working at both mesophilic and thermophilic temperature regions with all kind of wastes.
In this system the parameters such as pH, temperature and residence time were controlled and measured in respect to the amount and quality of the biogas.

9-) Wind Energy
CURRENT PROJECTS IN YEKARUM Due to its geographic
location, Turkey is under the influence of different pressure systems
In winter, the Island High Pressure system expands its impact area to southern latitudes of Turkey, causing strong, gusting winds from the north and especially north eastern directions
Hot Spring water
Another NEW Project by YEKARUM..GEOTHERMAL sources..
Is to supply hot water from underground and turn it to Electric ENERGY and HEAT energy..
Turkey is a rich country for GEOTHERMAL resources and Our University preparing projects for this purpose.
For this reason we are partners with Pamukkale University and will soon manage to supply natural hot water for at least 10.000 houses in DENİZLİ.
Geothermal Sources are also GOOD for Tourist attraction ..
What do you think about the WAVE POWER….!!Yekarum has just started to built a wave power station in Antalya.. By the Mediterranean coast..
ElectricityWave Power station will eventually supply electric power
for about 100.000 houses in ANTALYA.
