PURPOSE & OBJECTIVES

Education Students will learn a larger than normal repertoire of music. Students will perform multiple times at multiple venues within a two-

three day time frame. Students will attend at least 1 professional music concert

Students will be able to analyze and evaluate a live musical performance of a professional nature.

Experience Many Students will experience what it is like to be away from their

parents for an extended period of time. This experience is vital to their survival at a 4-year University

Students will gain the experience of performing for people other than their family members or friends.

Students on the trip will remember the experience for a lifetime. Many of you can still recite stories from when you were on a band,

orchestra, choir, or athletic field trip in High School.

WHO GOES? (cont.)

This trip is NOT Mandatory No student will be forced to go on the trip In 2011, 56 out of 62 possible students

participated in the trip * Choral Stipulation

In order to perform to best of our ability, the choir would require a proportional number of male to female voices.

Ex. If 25 males sign-up and only 3 females, we would travel & perform as a Men’s Chorus and could not take those 3 females
