X had to ban a certain Y from submitting his Tetris score to X Power Magazine in 1988, as he would top the listings every month. The company X, which was founded on September

23rd, 1889, reportedly wanted fresh names and did not accept Y’s submissions. Y, then, interestingly, submitted his

next entry as ‘Evets Kainzow’ . Give me X and Y.

X and Y, known in Japan as Dogars and Matadogas, were conceived and developed by Ken Sugimori. Their English names are a play on words related to symptoms caused by the noxious fumes they emit. Originally, the characters were intended to be

named "NY" and "LA" respectively in English localizations, intended as homage to the heavy pollution of American cities

New York City and Los Angeles. Id X and Y.

This image is of X’s painting Y. Another invention of the Early Renaissance, the skull (can only be viewed from an anamorphic perspective) is meant to be a visual puzzle as the viewer must approach the painting nearly from high on the right side, or low on the left side, to see the form as an accurate rendering of a human skull. While the skull is evidently intended as a vanitas or memento mori , it is unclear why X gave it such prominence in this painting. One possibility is that this painting represents three levels: the heavens (as portrayed by the astrolabe and other objects on the upper shelf), the living world (as evidenced by books and a musical instrument on the lower shelf), and death (signified by the skull). It has also been hypothesized that the painting is meant to hang in a stairwell, so that persons walking up the stairs and passing the painting on their left would be startled by the appearance of the skull. A further possibility is that X simply wished to show off his ability with the technique in order to secure future commissions. Artists often incorporated skulls as a reminder of mortality, or at the very least, death. X may have intended the skulls (one as a gray slash and the other as a medallion on Jean de Dinteville's hat) and the crucifix in the upper left corner to encourage contemplation of one's impending death and the resurrection. Give me X and Y.

Andy Warhol Piss Paintings or Oxidation Paintings. Warhol invited friends and acquaintances to urinate onto a

canvas covered in metallic paint in order to cause oxidation. The uric acid reacted with the copper in the paint, removing components of the pure metal to form mineral salts. Some colors developed immediately while others like blue and green formed later on top of the red or brown copper oxides.

“The basic story, or concept – it's about a woman growing up, who goes to live in the city, very isolated, and she disappears one

day and no one notices. There's more to it than that. Now, what's really interesting about this story is that your initial

reaction when you hear a story like that is, 'Ah, little old bag lady that no one notices, no one cares about.' [ Carol Vincent] wasn't [like that]. She was young, she was popular, she was attractive, she had many friends, she had family, but for whatever reason,

nobody missed her for three years.“

Here, a certain X is explaining the concept behind Y. Id X and Y.

ships were designed to move and navigate through _____ waters, which can be quite challenging. Nevertheless, using the ship's strengthened hull and powerful engine, it can ____ , allowing

bigger ships to pass through without too much difficulty. However, by the looks of it, this phrase actually precedes the

creation of the X ships. This expression goes back to at least the 17th century, written in a poem by Samuel Butler in 1678. There's

a line from the poem that reads:

"To give himself a first audience, After he had a while look'd wise, At last broken silence, and the ___.“

X is a fictional cosmic entity created by writer H. P. Lovecraft and first introduced in the short story "The Call of X" . X,

interestingly, has appeared as a parody candidate in several elections, including the 2010 Polish presidential election and the 2012/2016 US presidential elections. The faux campaigns usually satirize voters who claim to vote for the "lesser evil."

The late naturalist E. P. Gee brought this phenomenon to global attention in the 1960s. He drove to ____ , in North Cachar Hills

District, Assam, India .The cause of it is likely to be disorientation at high altitudes and high speed winds due to the widespread

fog characteristic at the time. The zoological survey of India sent Sudhir Sengupta to unravel this mystery. He concluded that the birds, mostly juveniles and local migrants, are disturbed by high

velocity winds at their roost. When the disturbed birds fly towards lights as refuge they are hit with bamboo poles and

killed or injured. The local tribals first took this natural phenomenon to be spirits flying from the sky to terrorize them

X had such a difficult birth and was such a weak baby that when he was born, the midwife thought that he was stillborn so she

left him on a table to attend his mother. It was his uncle, a doctor named Don Salvador, that saved him.

Magicicada is the genus of the 13-year and 17-year periodical cicadas of eastern North America. Sometimes called "locusts",

these cicadas spend most of their 13- and 17-year lives underground feeding on xylem fluids from the roots of

deciduous forest trees in the eastern United States. After 13 or 17 years, mature cicada nymphs emerge at any given locality,

synchronously and in tremendous numbers. Within two months of the original emergence, the lifecycle is complete, the eggs

have been laid, and the adult cicadas are gone for another 13 or 17 years. Why only 13 or 17 years?
