1st EndWith size US 6 (4 mm) needles, CO 30 sts. Change to US 5 (3.75 mm) needles. Work 7 rows of patt.Change to US 4 (3.5 mm) needles. Work 7 rows of patt, ending on a WS row.Dec Row (RS): K3, * k2tog 3 times, k1; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2—29 sts rem.

2nd EndChange to US 7 (4.5 mm) needles.Work Rows 1-8 of Quilted Lattice pat until 2nd End measures 4 ½" / 11.5 cm or matches size of 1st End, ending on Row 5 of pat.Change to US 6 (4mm) needles.Next Row (RS): Knit.Next Row: K2, purl to last 2 sts, k2.Next row (eyelet row): K1, *yo, k2tog to end—29 sts rem.Next row: K1, purl to last st, k1.Next row: Knit.BO all sts.

Finishing Weave in all ends and block lightly. On both ends, fold edge towards WS at eyelet row to form picot edge and sew in place. Sew cotton snap tape in place as shown in Photo 5 using whipstitch. Sew 3 buttons in place as shown in Photo 6.

**Adjusting for SizeScarf in photos is 28" / 71 cm in length. To adjust for fit, after reaching center point (14” for scarf shown), try on for fit. When Quilted Lattice square is posi-tioned at base of the front of your neck, the body of the scarf should fit snuggly yet comfortably with back of scarf coming up around the back of your neck high enough to be seen over the collar of a coat. If more length is needed, add rows until reaching new center point.
