. Control Solutions provides detailed step by step instructions, operations and images to assist you. Select HELP on the Home screen of the configuration software, then select help topics, select your logger model to review or print your logger information.
. Do not leave your data logger in the USB port as this will cause some of the battery capacity to be lost.
Insert the data logger into an available USB port on your PC.

INSTALL YOUR SOFTWARE & USB DRIVER Windows ™ XP/VISTA/7
1. Insert the VFC-WIN-USB CD into the CD drive of your computer. If the CD does not automatically load, navigate to the CD and double click “Setup”
2. Click “Next”
3. Read the “IMPORTANT NOTICE”, select “I agree” and “Next”
4. Click “Install”
5. Click “Yes” 6. Click “Finish”
7. Click “Install”
8. You have successfully installed the necessary software and driver for your VFC-USB data logger. An “EasyLog USB” icon will be placed on your desktop.
INSTALLING YOUR BATTERY
Before using the data logger you will need to insert the 3.6V 1/2AA battery provided, following the instructions below. Replacement batteries available from www.vfcdataloggers.com, PN: BAT 3V6 1/2AA.

Double click on the EasyLog USB icon on your Windows™ desktop. This will load the configuration software. Select green arrow icon to configure and start up new logging. Select red arrow icon to stop and download logging data. To view a data logger that has been recording, select graph icon to view previous saved data files.

Green double flashEvery 20 seconds: logger full, no alarm
Green single flash Every 30 seconds: delayed startEvery 20 seconds: low battery, logging, no alarmEvery 10 seonds: logging, no alarm
Red/Green single flash Every 20 seconds: logger full, last value equal to or exceeds the low or high alarm
Red double flash Every 10 seconds: logging, high alarmEvery 20 seconds: logging, high alarm, low battery

This is shown when the logger is set to start at a specific data and time*
This is shown when the logger is setupfor “Push to start” logging
This is shown when the logger is running in “LCD off” mode, and the button is pressed. The display clears again afterthree seconds
If the logger has not been set to log andthe button is pressed, three dashes are displayed for three seconds
* If the logger is set to “LCD off” or “LCD on for 30 seconds” mode, then this will only be shown after the button is pressed. Otherwise the display will remain blank.

CONFIGURATION OPTIONS
. For both high and low alarms input the number of consecutive alarm logs that can be registered before the LEDs indicate an alarm (For VFC-6000 only).
.Set-up, stop or view previously saved data.
. Choose to start logging immediately or set up delay by time and date.
. Choose max/min alarms if required.
.Name your logger and select a sample rate. . Choose how long the display stays on to conserve battery life.
