UV400 FILTER

To ensure your patients are 100% protected from harmful UV rays ask for your lenses to be coated with Jai Kudo’s UV400 filter. It increases the UV protection up to 400nm and can be ordered with or without a hard or an anti-reflection coating.


HYDRO+ COATINGSuper-Hydrophobic Multi-AR

Hydro+ has all the benefits of our Infinity XT coating but with a truly remarkable resistance to smudging and smearing. By effectively filling in the gaps that exist naturally between the molecules on the top layer of an AR coating, a completely smooth, flawless surface is created that does not collect dirt or dust particles.

The extra two layers of Hydro+ include an oleophobic layer to repel oils and a super-hydrophobic layer to repel water. In extensive tests, a lens that has undergone the 12-layer Hydro+ coating has proved to be up to eight times easier to clean.

HONEYCOMB LENSESPinhole technology to enhance vision

Jai Kudo Honeycomb lenses incorporate pinhole technology to refilter light entering the eye’s focusing mechanism at oblique angles.

The patented technology of a natural interlocking honeycomb pattern enables cleaner rays of light to pass through the eye onto the macula. This helps to reduce glare, distortion and avoids overworking the cornea and interior lens.

As a result, any inadequacy in the refractive power of the lens or cornea is slightly compensated for and clarity is improved.

In short, Honeycomb lenses make it easier for the eye to see better.

BLUE SHIELD COATINGDesigned to filter blue-light rays

Blue Shield coating has been designed specifically to filter the blue-light rays emitted from many frequently used electrical devices such as smart phones, tablets and PC monitors.

Blue Shield lenses offer minimised reflection and glare with an enhanced scratch resistance to increase their lifespan. They are also very easy to clean due to the anti-static qualities.

WHAT IS DIGITAL RAY-PATH®?Better vision at every point of the lens

Digital Ray-Path® is the most advanced technology available when producing digital lenses.

Digital Ray-Path® technology is based on an advanced three-dimensional calculation model that takes into account the position of the lens combined with the natural movements of the human eye across the lens surface.

The result is a lens that is more comfortable for the wearer whilst offering improved visual acuity.


HOW DOES DIGITAL RAY-PATH® TECHNOLOGY WORK?The three-step process calculates the back surface of the lens taking into account the wearer’s prescription, physiological parameters and frame measurements.


STEP 1: EYE-LENS SYSTEM

Digital Ray-Path® prepares a simulation of the lens in front of the eye, taking into account the wearer’s personalisation parameters. The more measurements, the more accurate the simulation will be.

STEP 2: SPACE OBJECT

Digital Ray-Path® uses information about the progressive design selected for the wearer to determine which areas of the lens are meant for distance, intermediate or near vision.

STEP 3: RAY TRACING

Digital Ray-Path® simulates how the eye rotates to look in every direction, at various distances. For each position of the eye, it computes the oblique aberrations that would limit the visual quality through that particular point of the lens. Digital Ray-Path® uses this information to minimize these undesired aberrations point by point across the lens.

In addition, the soft design promotes easy adaptation and patient comfort.
