High School Students Help with Math Counts!

Math Counts has

been made

possible by the

generous Tipp

Foundation and

the Tipp

Educational

Endowment grant

money received to

pilot this math

tutoring program. The program targets LT Ball students, nominated by classroom teachers, who would benefit

from additional math support. Tutoring is provided by Math Honors students from Tippecanoe High School. The

program meets 2 days a week for an hour after school. The tutor/student ratio is ½, one tutor working with 2

students. The program design concentrates on the application of math concepts in the real world in addition to

drill/skill work.
