Quick Models & Engineering Services (QMES) is a privately held company offering state-of-the-art prototyping, 3D printing, and engineering services
We are the only 3D Printing Company in the greater Houston area and the only company offering full-scale build volume in North America
QMES has the right tools designed for professionals and creators who are seeking cost effective and high performance 3D printing projects that produce full-scale build-volume objects (up to 1.3 cubic meter or 45 cubic feet)
QMES also offers engineering services such as product development, reverse engineering, material selection, CAD/CAM solutions, FEA studies, prototype development, engineering economics, fabrication methods and more…
OUR EQUIPMENTConventional 3D printers can usually only produce hand-sized objects. Printers at QMES, however, can create objects in a full-scale format, opening the imagination to yet unfathomed application areas
A printing volume of over one cubic meter makes it possible to produce prototypes and models 1:1, or to create final products, such as designer furniture, directly with the 3D printing method

With an 1147 x 1000 x 1188 mm (1.3 m³) (45 ft³) working volume, about 27 times that of a typical MakerBot Replicator

OUR EQUIPMENT – TECH SPECS
Our printers are FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) 3D Printers
They use 3D printer filament which gets fed to the extruder unit. The extruder then melts the material and deposits it as a long thread, layer by layer. The process is in reality more similar to a 3D drawing than a printing process
Our printers come with a dual extrusion print head to print 2 different materials and/or colors at the same time
We currently offer 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 1mm and 1,5mm nozzles
We currently offer 3mm and 1.75mm extruders
Up to 150mm/s print speed
Max feed rate 500 mm/s
0.1mm min layer height
Layer thickness: 0.1 – 1.5mm
