WHAT ELSE
DO I NEED TO KNOW?WHAT COULD THIS
LEAD TO?
JOB SECURITY90% of apprentices stay in employment
when they finish their apprenticeship
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE83% of apprentices say their career
prospects have improved
LOOKING TO THE FUTURE25% of apprentices have been promoted
within 12 months of finishing
You will pay nothing for your Degree Apprenticeship as your employer covers the costs.
You will not be able to apply for a student loan.
You will earn money while you work towards your apprenticeship.
You will be paid a salary which is appropriate to your job role and will be at least the minimum apprenticeship wage.
You’ll achieve the same qualification as those who take a traditional route. This may include a BA, BSc, BEng, MA, MSc or MEng.
Your apprenticeship may take longer to complete than a traditional degree course as you are studying part time.
You’ll gain real-life work experience and essential life skills.
You will still get the university experience, just on a part time basis.
DON’T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT!
“The degree apprenticeship has
contributed a lot to gaining greater
knowledge of different aspects of my
role, touching on things I’ve done
previously and teaching me things
that I haven’t learnt before in the
workplace.”
- SAM TESTER, CHARTERED MANAGER DEGREE APPRENTICE AT C.P.J FIELD FUNERAL DIRECTORS
WHAT SHOULD I
DO NEXT?Apprentices apply directly to an employer for a degree apprenticeship,
so the first step is to secure an apprenticeship position, either with an
existing employer or as a new recruit.

offers four years in industry,

me a huge advantage against
my peers when applying for
future jobs.”
