In relation to the survey monkey results, a powerful main image is the most important convention to potential buyers of Hip-Hop magazines. I ensured that my images were powerful by taking high resolution and effective photos that match the portfolio of Hip-Hop.

In contrast to my survey monkey results, more people preferred a colour scheme consisting of dark colours, for my magazine, I chose a dark colour scheme for my contents page as it turned out to be effective when accompanied by the large black and white image.

Similarly, the informal fashion is a common stereotype that is seen by fans of the Hip-Hop music genre in both of my research results. I decided based on these results and what I felt would be most effective, to ensure the cover artist was dressed informally. This further distinguishes the magazine from others as, most people expect a Hip-Hop magazine to contain artists dressed informally.

My decision to not include a voucher as a freeby, was entirely based on the fact that my magazines of inspiration do not offer vouchers. The view that is presented within Hip-Hop magazines is that money is power, with this I connoted that the magazine targets a readership that is willing to spend a lot of money on items to raise their social status or ensure they can be more like their artist of inspiration. This can be seen as an example of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.
