1. How did you use new media technologies to create your product? In the summer, i was given a task to create a stop motion video, using still images. To Create my stop motion, I used My iPhonecamera, as it is, in my opinion, easier to upload than a camera. However I didnt have the ability to use a tripod, as there isnt oneavailable. I uploaded my photos to Microsoft PowerPoint to make them play together at a fast speed, I put the animation speed at00:00.01, to make the photos look like theyre playing like a video. I then uploaded it to slide share, which is a website that allowsyou to upload slideshows and further edit them. i had the choice to use YouTube, but I thought slideshare is better. I didnt use many props, and my product was prettySimple in my opinion, I could not really have used anyMore props for this stop motion, as it only involved theBowl.Here I can upload the picturesstraight into slideshare

2. How did the task enable you to be creative? All these technologies allowed me to be more creative by offering me a more diverse way of creating a product. building a narrative was fairly easy, there wasnt a story to mine, it was just something developing. I had many ideas but I did notknow how to create them as they were very complex, the idea I went for was very simple and I am thinking of creating it again. Ithought of creating words with beads, maybe spelling out Stop-motion but I didnt think about it hard enough. I decided what to use at the time I took it, as it seemed like a good idea, however when I uploaded the slides I didnt realise it wasgoing to be that short, I would like to create one where I can make it longer. I did use YouTube to help me with ideas, it help mecreate inspiration and I got ideas through other YouTube users. I should have done more drafting to make sure that I had a wide variety of ideas. I only thought about the ideas and didnt writethem down or storyboard, which would have helped a lot, as I could plan it out a lot better and actually create an effectivenarrative.I used someone to take the fries away one by one, while I took the photos. Thismade it a lot easier and quicker for me. 3. This is a very well known and symbolic shot for Theopening scene of Eastenders. It is a pan view that zoomsout on the river Thames, therefore, before theprogramme starts, everyone knows where it is. It showsthe 02 arena, showing that it is regularly updated.The soundtrack is so well known that even if theyre inanother room and hear the drums they will know itsEastenders. The way the music sounds is also a key wayof telling the lifestyles of the characters, due to theboring style of it, it indicates that the characters lifestyleis quite dull and boring to, this is also indicated by thedark, gray colours, the music is quite dull and not muchto it, theres only about 2 or 3 instruments. 4. Football, sporty child.surf dude implyingthat she is the mothera boy. Felt tips, hinting that the child is young. Clothes hanging on the banister, showing she is a busy woman. 5. Using twitter, I could get in contact with people whilefilming. Sheena was able to post things that wereimportant and notes while we were away.I could also research the target audience by looking atthe casts followers. I looked at Joey Essex and whofollows him. Doing this i could see what other trendsand products they like. The information i gained helpedme produce a mood board. 6. In order to get the best picture, ahigh quality camera is needed, onthe left, is an example of apixelated image, this image is notgood enough quality to bezoomed in this much.During creating my magazine, I learnt varioustechniques and skills needed to create a magazine.Ranging from how to take an effective photo, tohow to improve the look of an image on Photoshop,I learnt about how to use light effectively, forexample, Too much light distorts the picture, andlittle light makes the picture hard to see. Anotherfactor is that I should always remain in focus anduse a high pixel camera, this then ensures that thephoto will still stay exceptional quality, even ifzoomed in.I also learnt various techniques in other programs, suchas publisher, and illustrator. By using Photoshop I can use the tools to create aprofessional looking advertisements. There is manydifferent tools on Photoshop, for example, you cancreate shadows and glows around the cast to makethem stand out more.
