Question 6
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing you media product?
During my time with Photoshop I have discovered a variety of tools and methods which assisted in the construction of my magazine, such as colour range, formatting the font to my design and the use of guides to create a layout. Photoshop was key in constructing my magazine, I am pleased with the editing of my magazine and I have learned new techniques which will assist me in the future.
I have learned editing is key to a well
functioning magazine even the small
detail brings out the best in a magazine.
The images used on the front cover
plays a dynamic role in attracting the
target audience the style of fonts used
also play a role creating a busy
constructive layout.
The type of camera of which I used was a DSLR
D3000 I have expanded my knowledge of the
manual settings this includes changing the shutter
speed to capture the range of movement while the
adjusting the aperture to control the focus of the
image how much or little detail required in the
photo. The use of this type of camera
was most important in my
photoshoot as the image quality is
most important in the construction
of my magazine. My original
knowledge of the functions of this
camera has grown I was shown
how to change the settings
separately such as the level of the
shutter speed while increasing the
aperture.
During the process of my photoshoot I
used a white screen, flash head and
reflective umbrellas these tools were
most effective in my photoshoot as I
was able to control and adjust the
lighting to create and enhance
shadow in my images. I have learned
how to set up a photoshoot this
includes the white/ black backdrop
and the flash head.
By enhancing lighting my photos
capture more detail and I have
discovered the placing of the flash
heads can alter the layout captured.
