Effects in Photoshop

I used photoshops drop shadow tool in order to make my logo on Photoshop. It gave the letters a background, I chose 79% opacity and positioned the piece in a place I thought was appropriate.

Effects in Photoshop

I used Photoshop's stroke tool to get the boxes at the side of the page to curve and look more rounded and less harsh. I chose a normal blend with a 100% opacity.

In order to make my magazine look more professional I wanted to add some shapes to the cover to give the audience something to look at and focys on. In order to do this I selected a regular circle shape, and created a text that would stand out in the circle and still be clear in what it says. To do this I used a yellow outer glow, 100% opacity and I feel the yellow and red stand out against each other.

Effects in Publisher and use of Da font

I searched through Da font to find a text which I felt would look like it belonged in the centrefold of a magazine. I had an idea of the type of text I wanted and tried it out in publisher before putting it in my magazine. I had to save the font onto my documents and then open it every time I wanted to use it on my magazine.

Effects in Microsoft Publisher

In publisher, with the number of text boxes I had I decided to use text flow to connect the text boxes together so that the text went into the next box without my having to select the new box and add the text into them. This meant that when I deleted any text or added any text into any text box, I wouldn't have to reorganise all the text in my box. I selected the box and right clicked and selected ‘text-flow’ to do this.

Equipment UsedThis wheel was used to adjust the settings on the camera to cater for the needs of my magazine photos

This screen, allows me to see the picture in order for me to be able to rearrange the setting or adjust the camera angle etc, if need be.

This allowed me to zoom and adjust the distance of the picture.
