Question 4+5Who would be the target audience for your Film?

+How did you attract/address your audience?

Target audience

•Gender•Age•Where they live•Salary•Job

Page 3: Question 4+5

GenderThe gender for our target audience was going to be males. This decision was made because it was more appealing to the males of the 1940’s/1950 as it included action, love, mystery, action and it was a popular at the time.

Page 4: Question 4+5

Age The Age of the males would around 30+ with most being 45+ due to the high of the Film Noir era being around the 1940’s/1950’s. However, males nowadays can still choose to watch it if they have an interest and their ages can range will be larger because of this.

Page 5: Question 4+5

Where they liveThe target audience for Film Noir would live in America and

especially in places such as New York. This does not stop any other males from viewing Film Noir

and they could be based in Britain if they like It. The location of an audience does not always determine the type.

Page 6: Question 4+5

Salary The salary of the men does not really have an impact into the target audience. I would say

anywhere upwards of £30,000+ due to the fact that they should have a decent job, own their own type of accommodation and can afford to watch the Film Noir movies in the form of TV or buying videos from

the store.

Page 7: Question 4+5

JobThe job of the men does not really depend if they would like it or not. The obvious jobs would include a detective or any high up jobs so they can relate to the story.

Mode of address• Mode of address in the way a media product addresses the audience

• We used 3rd person (the narrative) because the femme Fetal said “I told him it would end badly- for one of us”

• We were saying how Femme Fetals often influenced men into doing things because of their looks and charms. They were a sex object for the males and because the men fancied the Femme Fetal, he did anything to get the attention of her. Dresses for mise-en-scene

• When me and my partner were creating the thing, we wanted to focus on the sound of the poison as it goes into the drink for the credits. We felt that because it was an important event, we needed to enhance the volume to make the audience aware and concentraight purely on the reactions and the type of poison she poured into the drink

• The music was upbeat to show something was going to happen

Target audience feedback examples

• The feedback that I received was VERY USEFULL! Some was positive whilst others were negative. The negatives helped me out because they sometimes spotted out mistakes that I hadn’t noticed, and gave their personal impressions of how they would improve it .

• Here are some examples
