The use of the main image is masculine due to the use of clothing and props. The use of the guitars represents them as passionate dedicated and the clothing represents them as stylish and masculine. The background is a plain wall which represents the artist to be important and doesn’t take any focus away from them.

The smaller image is represented as more feminine due to her clothing and facial expression. The use of the fluffy coat represents her to be girly. Her smile represents her to be happy and present herself. The use of the high key lighting also represents her as feminine and makes her stand out more. The close up emphasises her femininity as it exaggerates her long hair and make-up.

The colours represent the magazine as masculine. The use of red, black and white represents the magazine to have an angry and passionate feeling.

The use of the typography represents the magazine to be masculine. The use of san-serif fonts represents the magazine to be masculine as this is a masculine font.

The use of the image represents him to masculine as the use of the clothing makes his muscles stand out. The neutral clothing represents him to be stylish. The plain background represents him to be popular and well known as it makes all the attention on the artist. The black and white image represents him to be classy and to be of a higher social class.

The use of the mid shot represents him to well off and well known as it allows the reader to see who it is and he can be recognised.

The body language and facial expression represents him to be arrogant and classy which are masculine features.

The designer clothing and long hair cut represent him as younger male. Also they represent him ABC1 as he can afford designer clothes as he is well off.

The use of the pull quote represents him to be ambitious and passionate and represents him to be good at his job.

The black and red house style represents the magazine to masculine as these are masculine colours and will appeals to the target audience.
