Page 1: Question 1

1. In what ways does your product use, develop or challenge forms of real media products?

Page 2: Question 1

o In ‘Log Book’ we have used murder and a slight secret agent twist to it. Marriage isn’t always used in a thriller/romantic genre like ours so we have adapted it a little bit. Like ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’, we have used a sense of assassin type element to our film as we felt it fit right at the time.

Stock Narratives/Themes…

o For the office scene, we have used a study which was tight fitting and perfect for the basic appearance of an office.

o The honeymoon scene was shot in a five star luxury hotel which represents the romantic element to this two minute opening of the film.

Stock Setting…

o In this element, we have included a villain and also a victim. The villain, Simon, who is played by Jack Cavanagh, who is a romantic husband with dark secrets which are yet to be revealed to his wife.

o As a group, we decided that it was best if Simon didn’t use any weapons to kill his victims as that could give his secret identity away if they ever got found.

o We used props such as wedding rings to show that Simon and Lisa are a married couple and in a long term relationship.
