Message from our Principal…..
From The Librarian… Reading is something that
cannot only help people in an
educational way; it can also
help them groom their
personality. It is essential to
inculcate a reading habit
right from the tender age,
so that children can imbibe
it and grow in it as they grow
up. A well organized and
active readers’ club helps to
achieve this objective.
I am highly grateful to all the
readers’ club members for their sincere
efforts. I am also thankful to our
Principal, Mrs. Bharti Sood for her
unstinting support and constant
encouragement.
Wishing you all a Happy Reading!

LIBRARIAN
Readers Club, KV, IIT,
Kharagpur, aims to inculcate
reading habits in the
students hooked to the
social sites of various hues.
Books are not only a source
of information, but also a
window to the world. One learns about the immense
diversity & yet a remarkable underlying similarity in
people around the globe. They are a source of
inspiration, and also a companion for life. An initiative like “Read With Your Kids” where
parents & kids sit together for half an hour daily to
read something other than textual material helps to
strengthen the bonds within the family.
A trip to Gopali Ashram, in the neighborhood
to interact with & help the underprivileged children
staying there filled the children’s heart with
compassion on one hand & gratitude on the other.
We shall keep taking up many more projects
in the days to come to help not only our students but
also humanity at large.
