We had an excellent year 2012 at RACE in terms of enhancing our customer values, employee participation and inspiring profits. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our customers towards their continued support to RACE. We are glad to kick start the year 2013 more confidently with two new orders from an International Truck& Bus OEM and a global trailer manufacturing company. During the year we have strengthened our research team with quality and trained man power and firmed up our processes to

deliver desired results. Our GEM™ model of excellence, Generate Execute and Measure has helped us to remain customer focused and execute deliverables to maximum customer satisfaction. Many of our syndicated research on Bus, Trucks, Trailers, Tippers, aggregates have international recognition. Our major thrust on developing associates across the world has been fulfilling as we could forge an alliance with the Institution like IIET in Chennai, consultants in UK, Europe & China. As part of the execution model and strategic consulting approach we have created required infrastructure at our engineering center for analysis, animation models etc.,our interface engineering and application engineering capabilities support our customers to realize full potential from our services. With skilled engineers and infrastructure in place we are prepared to take up new projects in the year 2013. During the year we have inherited newer systems for documentation, benchmarking methodology, technology innovation, analysis, QFD, DFMEA etc. Our core engineering capabilities, proto building, testing and validation is perceptible through

our projects on Bus Chassis/transmission, Car Transportation, Truck transportation, Modular Trailers, extendable Platform Trailers and many more. Our value added services in the field of over dimensional cargo coupled with location based intelligence in terms of understanding the road dynamics, statutory regulations related to transportation and logistics has helped many customers in the field of ODC movement. Our continued efforts in this field can help Vehicle OEM, Trailer OEM, Component OEM and many customers to

understand the road transport & logistics in India. During the year we have launched our new website www.raceinnovations.inwith modern outlook for our customers to better understand our services and to interact more easily than before. Our major objectives for the year 2013 is to create SITBAM, Society of Indian Trailer and Body building Association of Manufacturers in India and a major recognition program in the CV industry for the best practices in collaboration with a large auto magazine. I thank once again all our customers, employees, industries, investors and other stakeholders for a rewarding 2012 and seek their continued patronage for the year 2013. Telma hasofficially established its Indian subsidiary Telma Retarder IndiaPvt. Ltd. (TRIPL). The company iskeen on tapping the vast potentialin the Indian market and is confidentof garnering a strong market share in 2013. “The Indian retardermarket is growing but at a slower pace than expected. The fleetoperators many of whom are ourcustomers recognize the need for retarders, however the penetration levels are still as low as three percent in buses and almost nothing in trucks and tippers”, says Mr. JanBor, Chairman, TRIPL. In 2013,the company expects to sell closeto 500 units imported as CBUsfrom its group production entitiesin France and China. It will startassembling units at its own productionfacility in Chennai by Q4 2014, by when it will develop a robust and reliable supplier base locally, on par with Telma’s Global quality standards. By Q4 of2015, the companyis likely to be readywith a completely localized product forthe Indian market. “We have a goodopportunity to growthe Indian retarder Market to more than five percent in the next two years. Also it lacks lot of infrastructure in terms of technology, testing methodology and statutory regulations/approvals. This is also a concern for safety as the industry is still revolving around the road side manufacturers. In this pursuit, RACE would like to initiate an organization intending to bring all the Indian trailer and bus/truck body builders on a single

RACE has developed a new concept vehicle to extend width of the trailer and track of the axle to carryover dimensional cargo with affecting the stability of the vehicle.

The vehicle is also capable for carrying multi-dimensional cargo. Widening of trailer frame is hydraulically operated for precise and safer operation. In order to achieve the above, a vertical hydraulic actuator with rollers has been provided.

The length is adaptable for 3 modules depending upon the length of the windmill blade and operating condition. Further the rear axles are steerable and turn table provided on kingpin area in order to get a better turning circle.
