We operate a network of quarries which between them provide customers with a comprehensive range of aggregatescovering Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Dorset and other neighbouring counties.

The Calne, Shorncote and Woodsfordoperations also include ready-mixed concrete plants.

These quarries are also able to supply a comprehensive rangeof aggregates – sand, gravel, limestone, ballast for concrete,decorative aggregates and screened topsoil. It means thatwe are an ideal source of aggregate for every need, fromconstruction through to more specialised needs for end-usessuch as sports and leisure applications, agriculture,landscaping and gardening.

Whilst several of the quarry sites are licensed for the tippingof inert materials, we also have dedicated facilities fordisposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes throughour sister company, Hills Waste Solutions Ltd.

UPWOOD QUARRY

Located on the A420 a few miles west of Oxford, Upwood

Quarry has a range of operations and products. It produces a

high quality mortar sand (BS EN 13139), and various grades

of crushed rock. It is also a source of secondary aggregates

through resource recovery from a tipping operation for inert

materials.

TUBNEY WOOD QUARRY

Tubney Wood Quarry is also located on the A420, near

Upwood Quarry. It is an exhausted sand quarry, currently

being restored using imported inert material to achieve the

required profiles. In addition, the quarry has a licensed facility

for processing secondary aggregates from imported

construction and demolition waste.

BOWLING GREEN/CHINHAM FARM QUARRY

Bowling Green Quarry is located on the A417 a few miles

south of Faringdon and has a range of operations and

products. The quarry produces a dry-screened sand

plus several grades of crushed or screened rock. The quarry

also offers a tipping operation for inert materials.

SHORNCOTE QUARRY

Shorncote Quarry is located in the Cotswold Water Park a

few miles south of Cirencester and has state-of-the-art

facilities for the production of aggregates and ready-mixed

concrete. The quarry produces a high quality washed sand

and gravel (BS EN 12620) plus various grades of crushed

rock. It also produces secondary aggregates and topsoil

through resource recovery incorporated into a tipping

operation for inert materials.

WOODSFORD QUARRY

Woodsford Quarry is located five miles east of Dorchester,

and has state-of-the-art facilities for the production of

aggregates and ready-mixed concrete. It can supply projects

of all sizes, from major civil engineering contract works to

builders merchants, small housing sites, farms, sports

facilities and construction sites. It also specialises in tailor

made supply agreements for builders merchants.
