ITEM NO 73 EXHAUST HOOD, WALL MOUNTED Quantity Req'd.: 1 Manufacturer: Gaylord, Inc. Model No.: GX2-ND-BDL-LP-56 Status: In Contract Unit to be U.L. listed wall mounted exhaust hood of size and shape as shown on plan 1'-3" high, built in 2 section(s) and mounted 6'-8" AFF. GENERAL: Each ventilator shall be designed specifically for the cooking equipment being covered. The ventilator shall include a stationary grease collecting gutter at the bottom of the grease extraction device, sloped to a drain at one end to a built-in stainless steel grease drawer. The sloped gutter shall be concealed by an apron which extends the full length of the hood. Each ventilator shall contain one or more "GX" Super High Efficiency Extractors. "GX" Extractors shall utilize the "capture and drain" principle, be listed, tested per ASTM F2519, and mounted no less than a 45° angle from horizontal. The Extractors and the grease drawer shall be easily removable by utilizing the Extractor Removal Tool. The ventilator shall also include a built-in 3" air space at the rear for compliance to NFPA-96 when mounting against a limited combustible wall. The ventilator shall include a static pressure port in each section to be used in balancing the static pressure. The ventilator shall include a "Super Capture" lip on the front panel for enhancement of smoke and grease capture. Continuous front and rear mounting brackets shall be provided to facilitate mounting to the wall and hanging from the overhead building structure. Capture testing shall be to UL 710 and ASTM 1704. The ventilator shall be equipped with an opposed blade balancing damper. The damper shall be manually adjustable and accessible from below. The ventilator shall be listed under the category "Exhaust Hood without Exhaust Damper." Furnish Gaylord Autostart Temperature Sensing Thermostats (TST) to start and stop the exhaust & supply fan(s). For dry hoods supply a Temperature Sensing Controller (TSC) for each hood group. The Autostart System is designed to automatically start the exhaust and supply fan(s), if cooking starts without the exhaust fan switch being turned ON. The autostart system will use temperature sensing thermostats (TST) to detect if cooking occurs without first turning the exhaust fan switch on. One or more TST's may be required, depending on the length of the hood. The temperature sensing controller (TSC) is to be mounted on top of the canopy and be accessible from underneath. CONSTRUCTION: The ventilator shall be of all stainless steel construction, not less than 18 gauge, type 300 series. All exposed surfaces shall be a number 4 finish. The use of aluminized steel, galvanized steel, or 430 stainless steel is not acceptable. One (1) lot stainless steel enclosure paneling, at all open sides, to finished ceiling (F.S.E. Contractor to verify height). Paneling must be supplied by Exhaust Hood Manufacturer and installed by F.S.E. Contractor. Adhere to Specific Conditions for installation of fabricated equipment. F.S.E.
