There are two types of text entry fields.
Figure 72: Single Line Textbox
First, a single-line text entry field allows entry of one line of text. Simply type the desired text. If the
entered text is longer than the display area then the text will scroll horizontally. Most fields have a limit
to the number of characters that can be entered.
Figure 73: Multi Line Textbox
Finally, a multi-line text entry field allows the entry of more than one line of text. Text will automatically
wrap to the next line if it is longer than the display area. Pressing either the Enter key or Shift + Enter key combination forces a new line. If there are more lines visible in the display area then the vertical

point as the number is entered. Many numeric fields require that the number be within a validated
range.
Figure 76: Decimal Point Numeric Field
Number of decimal places may range from 0 to 2, with the default being 2. As numbers are entered
into these number fields, they will automatically be rounded to the default number of decimal places.
General numbers and Currencies will be displayed and printed according to the format specified. The
two main characteristics that are reflected in the currency formatting are the number of decimal
places, which can be either 0 or 2, and the thousands separator symbols.
7.4 Dates Fields
Dates are typed in date entry fields.
Figure 77: Date Entry Fields
Following are common acceptable date formats and those will be converted to 31-MAR-2012:

7.18 Glossary of Terms
URL : Uniform Resource Locator is a technical, web-related term used in two distinct meanings: In
popular usage, it is a widespread synonym for Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) — many popular and
technical texts will use the term "URL" when referring to URI; Strictly, the idea of a uniform syntax for
global identifiers of network-retrievable documents was the core idea of the World Wide Web. In the
early times, these identifiers were variously called "document names", "Web addresses" and "Uniform
Resource Locators
PDF : Portable Document Format is a file format used to represent documents in a manner
independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems. Each PDF file encapsulates a
complete description of a fixed-layout flat document, including the text, fonts, graphics, and other
information needed to display it.
Shortcut : Computer shortcuts are small files containing only the location of another file.
Application Window : Primary window of an application that is displayed for the user
Display Resolution: The display resolution of a digital television or computer display typically refers
to the number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed. It can be an ambiguous term
especially as the displayed resolution is controlled by different factors in picture-tube (CRT) and flat
panel or projection displays using fixed picture-element (pixel) arrays.
Repair Company: A third party company which is repairing equipment for CMA-CGM, (An entity,
CMA-CGM will have to pay for a repair service).
Pool: Physical Location it may be either a Container Depot or a Container Terminal.
Pop-up: Pop-Up is a graphical user interface (GUI) display area, usually a small window, that
suddenly appears ("pops up") in the foreground of the visual interface.
Workflow: Workflow consists of a sequence of concatenated (connected) steps. Emphasis is on the
flow paradigm, where each step follows the precedent without delay or gap and ends just before the
subsequent step may begin. This concept is related to non-overlapping tasks of single resources.
