The company started in 1968, with Frutex being responsible for the first importation of dried fruit to Australia. What began as a hobby and a challenge to offer quality dry vine fruit to the food industry has grown into a large wholesale business supplying over 1200 local and imported ingredients to major food manufacturers both locally and overseas.
FRUTEX AUSTRALIA is a diligent supplier of quality ingredients to the food industry with a dedicated team of food technologists who are responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing facilities and both imported and local food ingredients comply with all food standards and government legislation.
FRUTEX AUSTRALIA operates under a Quality Management System that is supported by a HACCP plan and GMP (Goods Manufacturing Practices). This along with our in-house laboratory and the research and development facilities makes Frutex Australia a leader in the food industry.
The company has over 70 employees with a National Sales and Marketing team. All distribution is carried out from the new Frutex headquarters with state of the art warehousing facilities which have been purpose built, this allows us to have total control and ownership of our products at all times. The new warehousing and distribution complex also contains freezer and chiller facilities with fully automated temperature controlled dock areas.
