Order Format Standards
It is very important that the writer strictly abides
by the format style requested by the client. Most popular format styles include:
MLA APA Oxford Harvard CSE/CBE Turabian (Chicago) Vancouver
Formatting
MLA styleMLA (Modern Language Association) style is commonly used to write
papersand cite sources within the liberal arts and humanities.
General Guidelines:1.Type your paper on a computer and print it out on standard, white 8.5 x 11 inchpaper.2. Double-space the text of your paper, and use a legible font (e.g. Times NewRoman). The font size should be 12 pt.3. Leave only one space after periods or other punctuation marks4. Set the margins of your document to 1 inch on all sides.5. Indent the first line of paragraphs one half-inch from the left margin. 6. Create a header that numbers all pages consecutively in the upper right handcorner, one-half inch from the top and flush with the right margin.7. Use italics throughout your essay for the titles of longer works and only whenabsolutely necessary, providing emphasis.8. If you have any endnotes, include them on a separate page before your Works Cited page. Entitle the section Notes (centered, unformatted).
MLA styleCitation: MLA involves an in-text citation immediately following the quote. The citation isplaced before the period, and after the ending set of quotation marks. In-text
citationcontains the last name of the author quoted and the page number where the quotecan be found. In MLA Style, the list of references found at the end of the work is notcalled a bibliography, but “Works Cited Page”.

APA styleAPA (American Psychological Association) is most commonly used to cite sourceswithin the social sciences.General Guidelines:1.Your essay should be typed, double-spaced on standard-sized paper (8.5" x 11")with 1" margins on all sides. You should use 10-12 pt. Times New Roman font or asimilar font.2.Include a page header at the top of every page. To create a page header, insertpage numbers flush right. Then type "TITLE OF YOUR PAPER" in the header flushleft.Citation:In APA after a quote or paraphrase, the in-text citation comes before the period andafter the closing set of quotation marks; the in-text citation contains the author's lastname, the year published. In APA annotated Bibliography list is called “References”.Usually papers in APA Style have running headers on each page and abstracts at thevery beginning of the paper (unless specified otherwise by the customer). A footnote can appear in APA Style, if the author being quoted is quoting another author.

Oxford (the documentary-note system)
Oxford referencing style or the documentary-note system is used essentially inresearch works on certain history and philosophy departments. General Guidelines: The documentary-note system consists of the following elements:1. Citations in the body of the paper, using a superscript (raised) number, generally atthe end of a sentence2. A list of footnotes at the bottom (foot) of each page, for all citations on that page. These are known as endnotes if they appear at the end of a chapter, section or otherdivision (for longer texts, for multi-author texts and for texts intended to be read asseparate parts)3. A bibliography at the end of the paper giving the details of each source referred toand possibly other materials consulted in preparing the paper.

Harvard styleHarvard is an author-date referencing style which is more popular in UK academicwriting than Oxford Reference Style. Referencing:When you summarize, quote or paraphrase another author, you need toacknowledge their work in your assignment in 2 places: in the text where youmention it AND in the bibliography at the end of your assignment.In-text references or citations have a pattern. It doesn't matter if there is an authoror an editor; if there is a date or no date; if it's a web page, a journal article or achapter in a book, the pattern remains the same.Citation: Entry for a book:Smith, J & Bruce, S 1997, A guide to personnel management , 4 th edn. McGrawHill,Sydney

Turabian(Chicago)Turabian(Chicago) is one of the oldest citation styles used in the academic practice, and it is sometimes called Turabian (Kate L. Turabian wrote one of the mostcomprehensive style guides for this work). Chicago/Turabain citation style is oftenrecognized as out-dated and not practical, though requested in many universities
andcolleges. Chicago/Turabian Style has two different formats.
General Guidelines:The traditional format contains footnotes for the citations, which appear on thebottom of the page. The citation itself is usually similar to a mini bibliographical
entryfor the most part. The second format for this model of citation are end notes, whichlike footnotes are numbered, only instead of being found at the bottom of a page,
theend notes are found right before the Bibliography page.

CSE/CBE styleCSE/CBE is a relatively new style introduced and promoted by the Council of Science(former – Biology) Editors. CSE/CBE Style is also known as Scientific Style andFormat. This is a professional style for academic writing in natural and physicalsciences. There are two ways to do this style: Citation Sequence System, and NameYear System. Citation Sequence System is the most frequently preferred way ofcitation. The second method of citation which falls under CSE/CBE Style is the NameYear System. Normally, this style only appears in certain scientific publications, and isnot often required by customers.
