The Induction Year During the year, all NQTs should receive

structured support from Induction tutors. This will include:

Regular meetings to monitor progress; (written half termly reviews are essential for secondary trained NQTs)

Lesson observations; Training.For secondary trained NQTs, a school-based

teaching period

The Induction YearAs NQTs you should: Reflect on and record evidence of your progress;

Take responsibility for your own professional development, but ensure you ask for help.

Register with GTC/IfL

(A report on progress against the Induction standards is completed and sent to HCC at the end of each term)
