Fairlee Boasts over 35 miles of public trails through one of east-central Vermont's largest unfragmented forests. With stunning mountain views, rushing streams, and an 80+ acre network of pristine wetlands, the forests of Fairlee are a valuable recreational resource as well as ideal habitat for nearly every species of Northeastern wildlife. Over 90% of the continent's songbird speciies migrate thousands of miles each year to nest in these forests - more than in any other part of North America. This is a treasure to cherish and preserve. Our public and conserved privatelands are therefore managed for forest health, habitat, and recreation, as well as timber, but all of us who live here or visit play a role in their stewardship.
