BAPTISMS On the first and third Saturdays of the month at 10am. Parents and sponsors are required to attend a class on the third Friday of the month at 7:30pm. Call the office to register. Parents should be registered in the parish for at least six months before they can register for the baptism classes.

CONFESSIONS Saturdays at 3 PM and 15 minutes before all masses

MARRIAGES Six months notice. Attendance at a seven-session course or a three-weekend course is required.

Fifty days after Easter Sunday we celebrate the fulfillment of all God’s promises in the feast of Pentecost, a feast that has sometimes been called the birthday of the church. One last time we are reminded that we Christians have received the Holy Spirit, not for our own benefit, but to enable us to follow our Christian vocation. The centerpiece of the scriptures for Pentecost is the account in Acts of the Apostles of the sending of the Holy Spirit to the disciples. The other readings for this Sunday help us to understand what it means to live out our Christian vocation. Paul’s letter shows us the gifts and fruits that the Holy Spirit gives to us. John’s Gospel reminds us that Jesus has sent all his disciples to share his forgiveness and peace, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co., Inc.

KIDS! The Don Bosco Sports Camp at Our

Lady of Good Counsel Parish for children

entering Grades 3 thru

8. Sports included are basketball, cricket,

volleyball, track and field, flag football,

soccer, softball, badminton, tennis,

games, and fitness training. The camp will run from July 9 to 13 and/or July 16-20, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day.

for one week or $255 for two weeks. The price increases to $165 for one week and $280 for two weeks
