Pythagorean Theorem
A
B
C
Try to prove if side A=3, B=4, and side C=5

How this is works?
Well, at the problem that the problem that we just saw, we can calculate side C by using this strategy:
C Square(C2)=A2+B2
So: 9+16=25
C2=25
C=5
This solution is called the pythagorean triples

Word problem
Consider the diagonal of a 7cm by 10cm rectangle. Find the diagonal?
the problem is equal to..8 x
10We must use the
pythagorean triples strategy
8x8+10x1064+100=149
x2=164x= 2 41

converse pythagorean theoremProve is this triangle is right angled?
57
yy2=7x7+5x549+25=74
y2=74y= 74
Because 74 is not a whole number so this triangle is not right
angled.
12
y5
y2=5x5+12x1225+144=169
y2=169y=13
Because the answer is a whole number, so this is a right angled
triangle

Pythagorean triples
The strategy of this is C2=A2+B2
or CxC=AxA+BxB
We use this strategy to find the diagonal side of a triangle.
