Pyramid of Giza

Lauro Benvenutti, Luanda Benvenutti, Tatiele Potrich.

The three pyramids of Giza were built in Ancient Egypt for approximately 4500 years ago. They served as tombs for the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre and

Menkaure.

Located in the city of Giza, close to Cairo (capital of

Egypt).

The largest of the pyramids is the Pharaoh Cheops with 147

meters high. It is known as the "Great Pyramid”. It was built

with limestone blocks.

It is believed that over 100,000 men, mostly slaves, were used

for the construction of the pyramid of Giza. It took

approximately 30 years to complete it.

They used a variety of mathematical knowledge to

build the pyramids.

Of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Pyramids of

Giza are the only ones that remain standing today.
