(PERSON VERB PLUS FORMULA)
THE FORMULA HELP STUDENTS CONSTRUCT SENTENCES.
OBJECTIVES:
1 •PVP Formula will help to improve the ability of pupils write sentences more easily and quickly.
2 •Build self-confidence among students to answer the examination questions .
THERE ARE 4 TYPES OF PVP FORMULA
Formula 1: (Simple Present Tense)
Formula 1 refers to VERB THAT IS IN SINGULAR In this case, PUPILS NEED TO ADD ‘S ‘ TO VERB.

subject: a man Verb: read Students just need to follow the formula
from the top of the formula ... one person ... verb ... S
A man read + s A man reads or give a name to the subject ... Ali reads… Firstly, help students to understand the
formula 1 in advance. Next help pupils to write objects (nouns)
related to the subject. Ali reads a newspaper. Then, help students with a preposition ….in the , on the, at the… A man reads a newspaper on the sofa.
Formula 2 ( Present Continuous Tense ) subject: a man Verb: read Students only need to use
formula … subject …is….verb + ing

sofa.
FORMULA 3 FORMULA 3 is specific
to the number of subjects that are more than one person.
PLURAL FORM: Examples: Ali and Abu… They.. My family and I.. Students just need to
follow the sequence of the formula.
FORMULA 3 When the subject is more than one
person, students should refer to Formula 3 and 4. Students only need to use a formula as previous examples.
