With a choice of visually presented technical materials for the backrest in either pure Carbon or Carbon reinforced aluminium composite, combined with high density precision moulded polyurethane foam, polished stainless steel chassis work and the world's best reclining mechanism at its heart, this seat defines a new category of lightweight reclining sports seats.

The uniqueness of the design lies in the combination of a steel alloyreclining seat base coupled with a composite reinforced backrest, inessence a hybrid of the most advanced motorsport and road seatsavailable today. The coupling of these two parts challenged engineering preconceptions and the solution was found in sourcingthe world’s finest dual sided infinite recline mechanism with tiltforward memory function and then fusing them to highly polished stainless steel chassis plates each side of the structure.

Stress loading and zoning of the composite backrest to increase torsional rigidity of the structure enabled engineers to produce astronger and lighter seat than traditional steel framed recliners witha typical 25% weight saving.

After all of this work it would be sacrilege to hide the technology, soright down to the assembly detail of each of the eight individualstainless steel A2 cap screws and washers, the Misano proudly displays its technical heritage.

Settle into it and you become one with the structure immediatelyalmost unaware of its existence, the support is secure but non-intrusive. Finite adjustment of the recline angle and the optimum density of the progressive, perfect form polyurethane foamcosset you in unashamed luxury allied with a hitherto unknown levelof lateral support from a seat that feels this good.

The Origin

Outlast® technology was originally developed for NASA to protect astronauts from temperaturefluctuations. The temperature corridor withinwhich a human body feels comfortable is relatively narrow. Outlast technology helps to smooth changes in temperature within this corridor, maintaining a more consistent temperature range.

Outlast microcapsules use phase change molecules to absorb excess heat, providing acooling system. This heat is stored and if thebody then cools, heat is released back to the body as needed. The result is a constant microclimate.

The benefits in Motorsport are without question. In hotter environments, Outlast®

technology within Cobra Seats will assist thedriver in maintaining a cooler body temperaturefor longer. In cooler environments, Outlast®

will aid in maintaining body warmth.

Cobra Technology® is available for the Imola,

Suzuka, Evolution and Sebring. Shell

construction is a rigid, lightweight and

incredibly strong Carbon composite. Internal

foam profiling comprises triple layer Confor®

foam, a unique energy absorbing and consistent

pressure foam that will dissipate energy and

evenly mould to a driver's body contour.

Upholstery is the unmistakeable tactile feel of

Alcantara™ combined with genuine leather for

ultimate grip and comfort. The Cobra

Technology® system is further complimented by

the additional option of an Outlast®

temperature regulation system, designed to

cool the driver in hot environments, maintain

warmth in cooler climates and regulate

temperature over longer time periods in

the cockpit.
