November 14, 2018 RE: Amendment One – Request for Bid (RFB) 11-28-2018 Ironwood Ridge High School Security Fence Improvements Below are questions/answers and additional information for the above referenced RFB. All other terms and conditions remain the same. (1) Working Hours? Work can be performed while the children are at school. Coordination will need to occur between the contractor, and the school administration. Contractor will be required to provide a barrier between their work and the children and administrators. (2) How to Weld the Fence Panels to the Posts? The Fence Panels need to be welded to the inside of the Fence Posts (3) What are the specifications for the Pickets? Terminate top of pickets 6” above top rail with caps. Except where noted otherwise. Picket Spacing: 5 inches o.c., maximum. (4) Will you assist with blue staking the area? Stake locations of fence lines, gates, and terminal posts. Do not exceed intervals of 500 feet or line of sight between stakes. Indicate locations of utilities, irrigation system, underground structures, benchmarks, and property monuments. The District will assist with irrigation location. (4) Who will locate the existing electric for the parking pole lights and scoreboard? No. The district will assist only but the contractor will need to locate the lines. (5) What is the finish coating? 1. Epoxy Zinc-Rich Primer for Uncoated Steel: Complying with MPI #20 and compatible with coating specified to be applied over it. 2. Intermediate Coat for Uncoated Steel: Epoxy or polyurethane intermediate recommended in writing by primer and topcoat manufacturer. (7) In Work Areas #1 and #3 who is responsible for vegetation removal? The contractor is responsible for clearing the vegetation to make space for the new fence. (8) What is the specifications for the perforated metal? Metal, 20 GA, 1/16” Round on 3/32” staggered (9) In Work Areas #1 and #2 what is the clearance requirements between the fence and the fire hydrant and fire sprinkler connections?

A minimum of 4’ clearance is required on all sides. (10) How do you want the fence installed in the wash to prevent it from getting damaged in the event of high water?

Install breakaway pickets below the bottom rail which would allow water and debris to pass through prior to the main fence getting damaged in the event of a high water flow.

Work Zone #8 Clarifications

+ 15’ of 7’ High Chain Link Fence with a 5’Gate

Work Area #1 Clarifications Remove existing swing gate and posts (with concrete) and salvage to back to the owner. On the 2 - 3’6” Gates with Panic Hardware it is okay to plate and bolt into the concrete. For the 2 - 3’6” Gates install Spring Hinges: BHMA A156.17, Grade 1, suitable for exterior use, with Function: 320 - Gate spring pivot hinge. Adjustable tension and Material: Malleable iron; galvanized. On the 2 - 3’6” gates with Center Mullion change to 1 – 5’0 gate with panic hardware and gate closer LCN 4040. New Header Rail must be 2” above gate. Work Area #2 Clarifications Change 15’ service gate to 16’ service gate

For the 4 Building Squares on the Eastside of the gym place on the inside of the square a top and bottom rail and pickets to enclose the square. Work Area #3 Clarifications Remove the 1 - 3’6” Gate Place New Wrought Iron Fence 3’ away from Basketball Court For the 1 - 3’6” Gates install Spring Hinges: BHMA A156.17, Grade 1, suitable for exterior use, with Function: 320 - Gate spring pivot hinge.
