Purchase Food By Phone

Problem Many people do not carry their Miami ID around with them

on a day to day basis People living off campus are more likely to forget their

Miami ID Without a Miami ID you cannot purchase food on campus

Solution Students always carry their phone with them A student can purchase food in dining halls using their

phones The person at the cash register will be able to scan a bar code

on your phone allowing you to pay for your food

How it works• A student will logon to Miami University’s website:

www.muohio.edu/myaccounts• They will type in their unique id and password• On the right side of the website contains your meal plan

balance• There will be a link added that states “Purchase food online”• The student then clicks that link and a bar code will appear

on your phone

How it works cont.• Tell the dining hall attendant ringing up your food you wish

to pay by phone• The attendant will push the “purchase by phone” button on

the cash register• Then they will use the bar code scanner (all dining halls have

one) to scan the bar code on a students phone accepting their purchase

• When the bar code is scanned the amount of the food purchased will be subtracted from your meal plan account balance
