B rethren, It is March al-ready, don't forget to stay hydrated and use

a good sunscreen; pull out the grills. February was a very good month with sever-al accomplishments. It was a rocky start however, as we had to plan for the funeral of our departed brother Jerry Gordin; thank you for so many brothers that came to support his family and brothers alike. Brother (Doc) Joe Ravid hosted a magnificent evening for ma-sonic brothers to come together and experience some of the finest cigar’s money can buy at Punta Gorda's nicest cigar club; Havana Tranquility! Brother Adam Soucier was the winner of a beautifully hand-crafted

cigar humidor. Special thank you to honor guest and co-host by CEO/Owner of Hiram & Solomon Cigars, Brother Fouad Kashouty. www.HiramandSolomonCigars.com The Blue Slipper was planned and very nicely done. The food was spectacular, of course we had a V.I.P. Chef; thank you Brother S.W. Sean Williamson assisted with the service staff for the evening brothers Ron George and Charlie Mooney. The decorations were very nice with help from many brothers. The harpist was amazing and a huge thank you goes out to the following broth-ers; Roger McCallum, Dave Naples, Chris DePass (PM), and their wives. (Kayla too) Thank you to my wife (Amy)

also, my personal organizer! Brother David Ahlborn had very bad news with three deaths, all passed in a few weeks. Please continue to keep his family in your prayers. We then went to Sarasota Lodge #147 for our brothers Sam Hoagland, David Zakikian and Wayne Filyaw who were passed to the Fellow Craft De-gree. Thank you, W. M. Ramon Hernandez-Ron and his offic-ers, RWDDGM Doug Dobbs helped with the brothers and RWDDGM Barry Hart delivered an amazing lecture. Congratulations all. Brother Wayne Engberech is in the process of attempting to gain admission to the Mason-

brothers converge for vaca-tion as well as to escape the harsh winters of their home states is truly a blessing. We even have our very own Past Master who is Romanian. I would like to do more visit to the surrounding lodges and cordially invite you to be a part of the fun. There is a big trip I would love to take this August to

G reetings Brothers: First of all, I want to touch on a subject that

comes up quite often. I have Brothers calling me con-cerning their dues card after they have paid their 2019 dues. Their telling me that they did not receive their card after paying their dues. If by chance you received a plas-tic dues card in the last year or so, you do have your dues card. There will be no more paper cards issued. This will be your permanent dues card from now on. So, when you pay your 2020 dues, and the years there after, you will not receive another card. If you have yet to receive your plastic card after paying your 2019 dues, contact Joe Gonza-

lez at: [email protected]. The next question I have been asked is how does it work? If you have received your plastic dues card, look on the back of it and you will see on the left side a broken-up square. That is a bar code. When you go to Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite, York Rite, etc., your card will be scanned with an app for the card. If it comes up a green arrow, that means your current on your dues. If a red X comes up, that means you have failed to pay your dues and you will be denied entry. Brothers, if you have yet to pay your 2019 dues, I would suggest you do so as soon as possi-ble. Also, I took a count on the Brothers who have yet to pay their 2019 dues and it

appears 1/3 of the Brothers of our Lodge have yet to pay. I believe starting in the June Trestleboard I will publish the names of those Brothers who still have yet to pay their 2019 dues in an at-tempt to hear from them and possibly finding out if they are having financial difficulties and could pos-sibly use some assistance. With that said, I hope all is well with you and your loved ones. Also hoping to see you in Lodge soon. Ron George Secretary

B rothers, This month I will provide a

quote by William Howard Taft.” The secret of Ma-sonry, like the secret of life, can be know only by those who seek it, serve it, live it. It cannot be uttered; it can only be felt and act-ed. It is, in fact, an open secret, and each man knows it according to his quest and capacity. Like all things worth knowing, no one can know it for another and no man can know it alone” David Naples Chaplin

ic Home of Florida. As I stated in the last meeting, I need any brother that can write a letter of reference on bring to the lodge so we can release his applica-tion for the Masonic Board the review. This is a very important matter brothers that I need you to support our brother in his time of need. Brother Ernie Rose (PM) has been very busy with several funerals and memorials. Hopefully this next month will not be busy in this area. Make sure you acknowledge and thank brother Rose for all his hard work. Thank you, Brother Ernie Rose for representing Punta Gorda Lodge #115 in a dignified and professional manner.

This a summary of the past month and I hope if you were not able to come to the lodge recent-ly, this can bring you out to enjoy a meal with your brethren and join us for lodge business and spreading the cement of brotherly. We are currently practic-ing for an Enter Appren-tice Degree and would be very pleased for your participation and support, brother Sean Williamson is coordinating all de-grees while I attend all matters of the lodge. Please take a minute to thank and congratulate him for his continued service to Punta Gorda Lodge #115. It is also time when I want to meet with all the committee

chairmen so we can final-ize the committees and further plan the rest of the year. If you have a pas-sion within the lodge, this a great opportunity to be a vital part of your lodge and the inner workings as the lodge needs and wants to grow with a purpose for the future. Brethren, also please keep in mind that we practice on Mon-day evenings and this would be an excellent time join us and bring forth information from the community and brethren that don't make it to the lodge regularly. ALL BROTHERS are welcome and could use this as a chance to be more in-formed. Brother Charlie

Mooney has a Child ID Program scheduled for the Charlotte County School Board at the Charlotte Harbor School on March 14th, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. We will discuss the partic-ulars at the next stated communication March 07th and would gladly accept any help you can provide. Please keep in mind that many of our brother that do come out to help with the child ID it is time for the background checks to be updated and we will have the forms on hand at the next meet-ing. Our next scheduled Child ID will be at the lodge May the 4th. We are going to attempt to

also see if any brothers would be interested in a group spring baseball game. It was asked about other functions for brothers of which we have attempted many times throughout the past few years; if you have any ideas please bring your ideas to us. I have a very nice set of golf clubs also if any brothers want to think about a tournament or a few golf outings. Daylight savings time begins March 10th; don't forget to set your clocks or you may be late. March is the month to rec-ognize our 7th President of the United States of Ameri-ca, Andrew Jackson who

was the only president to pay the national debt off com-pletely. How is that for thought, if only today? I look forward to seeing many of you at the lodge soon my brothers, we have much in store and planned. Don't forget that your wives are also invited to all our meals and they can have a chance to socialize with other Brothers wives as well. Have a blessed month and the blessings of heaven rest upon each and every one of you and your families. Fraternally, Brother David Summers Worshipful Master
