+ Myanmar’s water industry and wastewater technology is s�ll in the early stages of development. Rich in water resources, there are numerous medium-term & long-term

marke�ng opportuni�es for the water management system especially in areas of water supply, sanita�on, drainage and wastewater.

+ In 2018 and in accordance with the Foreign Direct Investment Promo�on Plan (FDIPP), Myanmar is expec�ng to a�ract about US$6 billion in foreign direct investments (FDI), aiming to reduce poverty and promote economic development. In the current Fiscal Year (2017-18), over US$3.5 billion of FDI have entered Myanmar. The deputy Minister of the Ministry of Planning and Finance, U Maung Maung Win, stressed that foreign direct investments are vital for Myanmar’s infrastructure sector, special economic zones and industrial zones for be�er economic development in Myanmar.

+ Exports in Myanmar have increased by 6.9% to US$11.9 billion in FY2016/7, with imports rising by 3.7% to US$17.2 billion.
