Event Overview
Amazon Web Services will host our sixth annual Government, Education and Nonprofits Summit on June 20-21, 2016 in Washington, DC. The WWPS Summitis one of the world’s largest public sector cloud gatherings and brings together developers, IT, and line of business leaders to address current best practices and trends in cloud computing as well as solutions that can be instantly applied.
Sessions will feature public sector organizations sharing how the cloud enables more mission for the money, acquisition strategies in government, and optimizing security while reducing costs. We expect 4000+ attendees. Tracks will include: Mobility and IoT, Security and Compliance, Security Technical, DevOps, Open Data, Enterprise Adoption (All-in, Hybrid), Big Data, Community Cloud (GovCloud and IC), Transformation and Innovation, Health and Life Sciences, and Enterprise Apps.
Other Events of Interest: We will host our third GovCloud (US) Customer Advisory Board as well as an Executive Summit, and Intel Cloud Lounge

Attendee Demographics
Attendee demographics are comprised of all technology related job roles
with the majority of attendees identifying as developers, engineers, or IT
decision makers from the government, nonprofit, and education
industries. Over 95% of attendees live in close (within driving) proximity to
the Summit venue. This group is predominantly male with an age range
of 25-55 years.
We are planning for 4,300 in Washington, DC in 2016.

The Gold sponsorship comes with an AWSTalk. An AWSTalk is much like a
TedTalk, if you’re familiar. Given the huge interest in the full speaking slots
and content opportunities, we created a smaller scale version of our platinum
package. The gold sponsorship gives partners an opportunity to essentially
have a ‘mini standalone session’ for 10-11 minutes. That means you get
to customize your session, show a video, do a demo, bring a customer on
stage to join you, invite an ISV to your session or lead a TedTalk style
presentation about your most meaningful content so the audience will leave
given a solid sense of what you bring to the table. We have found that this
amount of time allows for just the right level of information. It is actually
twice the amount of time we give our customers on main stage when
they give their keynote vignettes. There will be 3-4 sponsors speaking
within each AWSTalk. The goal is to have different partners/ perspectives
speak about the same topic in order to show the range of experiences that
result from different organizations using AWS as their platform.
