This public notice cancels the public notice issued on June 20, 2014 along with the public information session and hearing scheduled for August 5, 2014, and reschedules the public information session and hearing for September 4, 2014. The proposed modification would specifically clarify certain conditions and would reduce limitations in NWP 12 (Utility Line Activities) and NWP 49 (Coal Remining Activities). Additionally, the modification proposes changes to the stream and wetland quality verification process. The discharges from the activities, if approved, would result in degradation to, or lowering of, the water quality of surface waters of the state, including wetlands, streams and lakes. No exclusions or waivers apply or may be granted by the director of Ohio EPA, as outlined by OAC Rule 3745-1-05(D) (effective on May 1, 1998). Starting July 18, 2014 the draft modification language may be inspected on Ohio EPA- DSW website: http://www.epa.state.oh.us/Portals/35/401/applications/401WQC_NWP_Modification.pdf Ohio EPA, in conjunction with the Huntington, Pittsburgh, and Buffalo Districts of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will hold a public information session and public hearing relative to issues of lower water quality on September 4, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Center for Excellence located on the seventh floor of Ohio EPA’s offices at 50 West Town Street, Suite 700, Columbus, Ohio, 43215. The public hearing will end when all interested parties have had an opportunity to provide testimony related to the proposed modification. All interested persons are entitled to attend or be represented and give written or oral comments on the proposed modification. The purpose of the hearing is to obtain additional information that will be considered by Ohio EPA prior to any further action on the proposed modification. Ohio EPA will continue to accept written comments on the proposed modification through the close of business on September 11, 2014. Notice is hereby given that on July 17, 2014 the Director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, pursuant to Ohio Revised Code (“ORC”) 3746.04(B)(5) and Ohio Administrative Code (“OAC”) 3745-300-05, issued a renewal of certification to the following Certified Professionals: Donald Fay, CP54 and John Pierko, CP186. PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) has issued on July 22, 2014, four (4) Draft Permits to Operate (PTOs), numbers UIC 03-72-009-PTO-I, UIC 03-72-011-PTO-I, UIC 03-72-012-PTO-I, and UIC 03-72-013-PTO-I to Vickery Environmental, Inc., Vickery, Ohio. The Draft Permits are for Class I Hazardous Injection Wells Numbers 2, 4, 5, and 6 at the Vickery Environmental, Inc. facility located at 3956 State Route 412 in Sandusky County, Vickery, Ohio. These proposed permits have been issued in draft form by the Director pursuant to Section 6111.044 of the Revised Code. Notice is hereby given that Ohio EPA will conduct an Information Session and Public Hearing on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. The information session and hearing will be held at the Sandusky County Board of Health, 2000 Countryside Drive, Fremont, Ohio. Ohio EPA’s draft PTO’s are issued to meet state requirements and regulations, found in Chapter 6111. of the Revised Code and Chapter 3745-34 of the Ohio Administrative Code. The draft action proposes to allow continued use of the Vickery Environmental Wells Number 2, Number 4, Number 5, and Number 6, with some new and revised permit conditions and requirements.
