Background• Locally, responsibility for some Public Health primary care

sexual health services passed to Lincolnshire County Council in April 2013 (LARC, chlamydia screening, pharmacy based services).

• Through The Local Authorities (Public Health Functions and Entry to premises by Healthwatch representatives) Regulations 2012, the Council is responsible for commissioning comprehensive open access sexual health services.

• In April 2014, we commissioned Pharmacy Based Supervised Administration Service through a procurement process known as the Open Select List.

How will this be achieved from 1st April 2016?

• Commissioning EHC/Pregnancy Testing service through an Open Select Procurement Process.

• Offering a two year contract term to allow an opportunity for new LISH service to mature so services can be reconfigured if necessary by 1 April 2018.

• Reducing bureaucracy whilst maintaining regulatory standards.

• Sustaining/enhancing current service provision. • Fostering close working relationships between the LISH

service, General Practice and community pharmacy contractors to manage supply and demand effectively.
