What is Public Health?

"Public health protects and improves the health of individuals, communities, and populations, locally and globally."

What Is Public Health?

• “To promote health and quality of life by preventing and controlling disease, injury, and disability.

• “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity"

• Public Health’s mission is to create the conditions within which people can be healthy
