Course Description – PSYC 2301

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This is the introductory course in the study of psychology. To successfully complete this course, you will learn about the elementary principles of human behavior. Specific topics will include a basic overview of areas such as development, maturation, motivation, memory, intelligence, learning, reasoning, brain anatomy, personality, emotions, psychological research, social psychology, psychological disorders, and perception.

Credit: 3 semester hours.

PREREQUISITE:

Appropriate score on the TASP test or alternative test or completion of READ 0306 with a grade of “C’ or better.
