THE COMPLETE DETAILS ABOUT PSLV C-23 LAUNCH SATELLITE VEHICLES.TRANSCRIPT
INDIA’S PRIDEPSLV C-23
The primary space agency of India, Established in 1969
ISRO is amongst the largest government space agencies in the world.
Headquartered in Bengaluru, ISRO is under the administrative control of the Department of Space, Government of India
INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANISATION (ISRO)
Primary objective is to advance space technology and use its applications for national benefit.
MOTOO:- Space Technology in the Service of Human Kind.
Dr. K.Radhakrishnan is an Indian scientist and the present chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
He has also served as the director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC).
Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV) Augmented Satellite Launch Vehicle (ASLV) Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle
(GSLV) Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle
Mark-III (GSLV III)
Launch vehicle fleet
SLV-3 was a 4-stage solid-propellant light launcher.
can reach a height of 500 km and carry a payload of 40 kg
Its first launch took place in 1979 . Only two of its four test flights were successful
Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV)
5-stage solid propellant rocket with the capability of placing a 150 kg satellite into LEO
The first launch test was held in 1987and after that 3 others followed in 1988, 1992 and 1994, out of which only 2 were successful, before it was decommissioned.
Augmented Satellite Launch Vehicle (ASLV)
It is an expendable launch system developed to allow India to launch its Indian Remote Sensing (IRS)
PSLV can also launch small satellites into geostationary transfer orbit (GTO)
It has launched 65 satellites / spacecraft ( 30 Indian and 35 Foreign Satellites)
Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)
In April 2008, it successfully launched 10 satellites at once, breaking a world record held by Russia.
It is developed to enable India to launch its INSAT-type satellites into geostationary orbit.
It help to make India less dependent on foreign rockets.
ISRO's heaviest satellite launch vehicle, capable of putting a total payload of up to 5 tons to Low Earth Orbit
Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV)
GEOSTATIONARY ORBIT
PSLV C-23
Launched on june 30th 2014 The rocket lifted off from
Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota
Injected 5 foreign satellite in to earth’s orbit.
26th launch of PSLV
PSLV C-23
SPOT-7 - FRENCH AISAT - GERMANY CAN-X4 , CAN-X45 - CANADA VELOX-1 - SINGAPORE
PSLV C-23 INJECTED SATELLITES
PSLV main payload having 714 kg.
SPOT -7 is a Satellite for observation of Earth.
High-resolution optical imaging Earth observation satellite system operating from space.
Designed for 1:25 000 scale Mapping
SPOT-7
German satellite of 14-kilogram.
German nano-satellite, to focus on the global sea-traffic monitoring system with special emphasis on high traffic zones using AIS signals.
AISAT
CAN-X4 and x-5 are canedian satellite.
weighs only about 15 kilogram.
Primary mission is the, demonstration of satellite formation flying.
Develop and validate fuel efficient formation flying algorithms.
CAN-X4 & CAN-X45
Singapore satellite. Their first nanosatellite to operate
in Low Earth’s Orbit It is part of NTU’s Undergraduate
Satellite Program for educational objective.
OBJ: Acquire images of Earth and transmit them back to ground station
VELOX-1
“a rocket which launched four foreign satellites into orbit had cost less to make than the Hollywood film “Gravity.”-
"This fills every Indian's heart with pride and I can see the joy reflected on your face,“.
