Rise up O My Soul

Rise up and sing this blessing to God’s name

Praise God, O my soul. O God, you are very great; You are clothed with splendour

and majesty.

You wrap yourself in light as with a garment;

You stretch out the heavenslike a tent

You make the clouds your chariot and ride on the wings of the wind.

You makes winds your messenger - flames of fire your servants.

You set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved.

Rise up, Rise Up,

Rise up O My Soul

Rise up and sing this blessing to God’s name

You covered it with the deep like a cloak; the waters stood above the mountains.

But at your shout the waters fled;at the sound of your thunder they took to flight

They flowed over the mountains, they went down into the valleys, to the place you assigned for them.

You set a boundary they cannot cross; never again will they cover the earth.

How many are your works, O God. In wisdom you made them all; Praise God, O my soul. Praise God.
